Yep. Works well if done sensibly. 80-90%'s tops. 2 2's done for speed.

Worth pointing out I was a teenager at the time. Wouldn't try it now.

im squatting 3 to 4 times a week at the moment and doing mainly singles which is working really well. im assuming more practice will equal more gains

true lots of other variables to consider i suppose. i was thinking the second session of squats would be speed and with perfect form only. probably a quick session 40 mins tops

I did it for about 4 weeks that I recall, 6 days/ wk, twice a day 160x2x2. Had a weeks taper off and hit 200 single first time ever.

i squat 2 times a day, first i do a high volume workout then a few hours later i work up to my 1RM max of the day. Look my journal! i had started a program to squat for 31 consecutive days in a row!

Nice! Were you training other stuff at the time and if so, did you do the squats first or last?

The squat was, and always has been, an assistance exercise to me. It was thrown in first, last or where ever suited. I've never found routines as important as doing the work.

So you want to squat twice a day, lose weight and still increase your squat?
