Weak overhead!

Lol, core work, strength and conditioning, not crossfit!

Time is a precious commodity at the moment!

I was on nights last night and busy so here's my training from yesterday evening's bench session:

Bench

20 x 10
60 x 5
80 x 5
100 x 3
110 x 1
117.5 x 4
117.5 x 4
117.5 x 4
117.5 x 4

Right these were nice, but strange (I can't help tinkering!). These were done with a much wider grip, if you compare the vid to last weeks you can see that these are index finger on the ring, whereas I normally bench little finger on the ring, which are more tricep dominant with a much greater ROM. If I can take to these without stressing my shoulder then I should see a bigger bench. Pec strength helps here.

Incline DB Fly

20 x 12 x 3

Incline DB Bench

32.5 x 10
35 x 10
35 x 10

Weight going up on these nicely.

Tricep Pushdowns

3 sets 10

Dips

BW x 6
BW x 6

Ran out of time there.

Deadlift session this afternoon.

I've been working on my doubles for 4 weeks so the plan is to work up to a heavy single after the 4 sessions, which is this week.. Sumo is going well and my technique is improving.

Sumo Deadlift

60 x 5
100 x 5
140 x 3
180 x 1
220 x 1
240 x 1
260 x 1

Happy with that, planned on building up to 260. Not ideal today as only been up an hour or so and not eaten as I was on nights last night. Was supposed to train tomorrow but I'm not going to have time as on nights again and have a funeral to go to in Birmingham!

I'm fairly happy and confident that there is a lot more there with this set up on a strong day:

Another 4 weeks of doubles on around 85% or so and 270-280 hopefully.

Nice sumoing. That was pretty quick to catch up to your conventional.

That 260 was a peach.

Cheers Kit. I've pulled 260 sumo last year and 275 in a suit so it's always been about there when I train it!

Thanks mate!

No, hips are fairly low anyway but any lower and they just shoot up! I'm trying to stay as upright as possible.
