Week 4 of Bulgarian now. Squats 20 x 5 60 x 3 60 x 3 100 x 3 140 x 1 180 x 1 200 x 1 180 x 5 Easy enough Bench Shoulder a little sore these past couple days so warmed them up properly with band 60 x 4 80 x 4 100 x 2 120 x 1 132.5 x 1 120 x 2 120 x 2 120 x 1 Nice, max was a real grind so not ideal. I've entered a BDFPA single lifts comp next Wednesday and I'm going deadlift only, I feel that I've peaked quite well and feel in good shape for it. 600lbs maybe?? Squats 20 x 5 60 x 3 100 x 3 140 x 1 180 x 1 202.5 x 1 180 x 2 180 x 2 180 x 2 Easy. Deadlift 60 x 5 100 x 3 140 x 3 180 x 1 210 x 1 210 x 1 210 x 1 210 x 1 210 x 1 Easy, fast, feel good. Chin Ups BW x 5 - 3 sets Box Jumps - 24" 5 sets 5 Battle Ropes Had a play with these.. Alternating up/down waves - 20 secs x 2 Up/Down Waves - 20 secs Rope Slams x 10 Brutal, even that little amount of work. My conditioning is still shocking, it won't be for long. I went deadlift only in search of a 600lbs/272.5kg platform pull... BDFPA affiliated so 110 weight class and no need to manage weight Weighed in nice and early, 9am, at 107.4 after having breakfast and plenty of fluids. I had to sit around and wait for the squats and bench which wasn't ideal but I stretched off and warmed up gradually. Warmups 70 x 5 70 x 5 100 x 3 130 x 2 160 x 1 190 x 1 210 x 1 230 x 1 These were all very nice and fast, felt good, timed them perfectly too. Platform 250 - Good 272.5 - Fail 272.5 - Fail Gutted.. I thought it was there today, 250 was easy. Build up has been good too. Nevermind. With my 250 that was more than enough to qualify me for the British Single lifts next year, with a view to doing Europes at least. Looking at this years result I'll get an invite. It meets the qualifying standard for all the weight classes above so with my plan now to pack on some muscle it's set now. | ||

I want to get bigger, building muscle, not fatter again. I seem to have put some weight back on these last few weeks which isn't great. I need to do more bodybuilding work as I've hardly done any in the last 2 years or so, and I want to pack on some mass. I'm tall so as people have said I can afford to be heavier. I'm going to train each lift once a week with bodybuilding after, and then a conditioning/functional session, plus fasted walking when I can. So after being s**t today and not feeling overly exerted I trained tonight whilst coaching my brother at my gym. I'm going to log my weights so I can track them and increase where necessary. Incline DB Press 30s - 2 x 10, 40's - 2 x 8 Incline Flys 15s - 3 x 10 Chinups BW - 3 x 5 Barbell Row 60 - 3 x 10 Barbell Shrugs 80 - 3 x 10 Seated Cable Row 3 x 10 Tricep Pushdowns 3 x 10 Hammer Curls - Strict 15 - 3 x 10 Power Clean & Jerk 60 - 10 singles. Just passing time with these | ||

Good luck with the new plan mate, I have been doing more hypoertrophic based accessory stuff and find it's a nice change from the heavy core powerlifts.
