You should have told me you were coming up. We could have met up and done some training.

Most likely ALL of them. Oxfam HQ need a database administrator, but on a temporary contract. I messed up v-lookups in the test, only one question and I messed it up. I didn't know there were so many higher education places up there, so if anything comes up, i'd definitely be relocating. £350 a month including all bills for a nice flat! (Shared with the landlady, so she can pay the bills Grin)

Where abouts is good to train? There's a gym near the police stating in Kiddlington - do you know if that's any good? Next time I'm up there, I'll let you know.

All KIIINDS OF HIGHER EDUCATION PAL.

The gym in Kidlington is good. It's where several PL comps have been held, including the GBPF divisionals (SM).

I don't train there though. I train in Oxford itself. There are several decent places to train:

1) Oxford University Sport: http://www.sport.ox.ac.uk/oxford-university-sports-facilities/...

2) Oxford Brookes: http://www.brookes.ac.uk/sport

3) Oxford Powersports: http://www.oxfordpowersports.co.uk/

4) Unique Bodies Gym run by IFBB pro Mike Sheridan.

I train at the first one.

Sam - I MAY be moving to Cowley, so that will end up being my local gym should I move to that area.

Phil - cheers. I'm going to have my next session in my Oly shoes, might do some BTN pressing and try for a PB or something. Still need to learn to dip properly, a la Pudzianowski-kurwa.

The property is a Mon-Fri let, although I may be able to stay in Kiddlington on the weekends. I will be in Oxford for a second interview on Tuesday (which is normally a day off of training for me) but I can bring the suit down if you want to borrow it for training purposes.

Till August, I do Mon-Fri in Reading, so I train there throughout the week.

Very kind of you re the suit. I'm in negotiations with Raj though! He's got a 40 he doesn't need anymore.

Not a problem. By the looks of things (another interview in Oxford now on Wednesday) I'll end up getting somewhere on a 7day/wk basis, and will likely change training to go around a Mon-Fri job.

Well, good luck with all these interviews. It would be great to sync 4-5 sessions a month together cause our strength levels are pretty similar.

That's what I was thinking. We both also pull with a similar style, and you being a bit stronger than me would be more motivation to lift better in training. The job and property markets look VERY good in Oxford, so I'm fairly optimistic about relocating. Maybe as soon as next week or March. You looking at shirting up anytime soon?

Great stuff.

Yes, I want to do some equipped lifting again. Shirted benching is what is holding me back as I really need to be with people who know what they're doing and preferrably shirting up too. I always feel awkward shirting up when others aren't.

My close grip is about 5kg off the best it's ever been, whilst my regular bench is about 35kg off it's best. Do you think I'll be close to my previous shirted numbers if I put a shirt on? I haven't worn my shirt since Sept 2011!

I don't think you'll be anywhere near mate!!

My last outing in a shirt was that 160 under my avatar and it was at one of Stuart Hamilton's GBPF meets (East Mids I think) in Oct/Nov 2010!

I don't close grip bench, but my unequipped bench is about 140 at the moment.
