STILL not done any events for my comp in 5 weeks. BW 84.0kg in jeans, trainers and a t-shirt this morning after my shake. NO BELT Squats (converse type footwear) 55kg x 5 75kg x 5 95kg x 5 130kg x 8 (maybe more in the tank, wasn't taking ages between reps) Maybe as a result of not smoking for a week Front squats (oly shoes) 55kg x 2 75kg x 2 95kg x 2 115kg x 1 132.5kg x 0 Zercher squats. Walk out, pause on pins, up then walk back in. 55kg x 2 75kg x 2 95kg x 2 105kg x 1 115kg x 1 125kg x 1 Cleans from about 15" 55kg x 5 Clean from floor 75kg x 0 Leg ext - sets of 6-10 going down the stack as a drop set. Stretches for hams, glutes, piriformis, hip flexors and a little foam rolling for ITB | ||

Took 10mg diazepam and still kept waking up from the pain. Couldn't move at all. Seated press (belted) Bar x 3 35kg x 3 55kg x 3 65kg x 3 (with sleeves) 70kg x 3 or 75kg x 0 Seated side raises 10s x 12,12,12 Push press (belt and sleeves) 55kg x 3 65kg x 3 70kg x 3 72.5kg x 3 75kg x 3 Belt cleans (trying) 55kg x 3 65kg x 3 75kg x 0,1. Pretty painful and got red pinch marks all over my stomach. Dumbbell 1 motion 30s x 3/3 35s x 3/3 Dumbbell jerk (sleeves) 40s x 7L 5R - Think the sleeves are making me hold the dumbbell much closer than I'd like. Lost balance on left arm but was definitely good for more. I'm pretty sure there's 10 reps in the tank. | ||

I put my weights away when i'm done, help the girls clean up at the end of their shift if i'm there late and don't leave chalk everywhere. It's not a chain gym, but still a commercial one. | ||

My event training is deadlifts and shoulder pressing! Too tight/broke to travel to west London to train events. The gym I train at is about 10mins walk from mine. It's not like i'm going to finish 3rd or 4th where there's prize money involved. I'm just hoping not to finish dead last. | ||

Seems like it worked. Matt - I'm trying to gain weight. TRYING being the operative word. My diet is around 3,200kcals on a normal day, 3,800-4,000 might happen once a week and 2,500 might happen once a week, so 3,200 roughly on average. This mainly comes from clean food such as oats, milk, fish, chicken, spaghetti/pasta. I find that although I'm not gaining weight, at least my strength is going to improve, so it's not ALL bad. | ||

Steak and 2 energy drinks, then off to gym VG Press - 62.5kg x 4 - left these here, will be changing my first exercise to strict press or push press Belt clean and press (first rep clean and press, then press) with sleeves 60kg x 2 75kg x 2 80kg x 2 DEFAULT PB 85kg x 2 DEFAULT PB 90kg x 1 DEFAULT PB 95kg x 0 - failed to clean. Managed to rest the bar on my "belly" though, so things are looking better. Dumbbell clean then rest press. No belt or sleeves 30s x 3/3 35s x 3/3 40s x 7/7 (failed one of the presses with left arm). Keep on saying fk it then dropping after 7 reps.
