Deathlifts. Did a bunch of lighter pulls Some back work Biceps and grip Monday 22nd Squats - saw a guy benching 3 plates for reps in the smith, thought i'd get him to slap me. He patted me on the back then touched me on every single rep despite me asking him nicely to get off the platform 8 easyish reps with 160kg, every single one of them assisted somewhat Leg press 3-4 sets, working up to about 340kg? Glute bridge things on smith. 10kg bar with counterweights? 50kg x 5 70kg x 5 90kg x 5 120kg x 5 140kg x 5 160kg x 5 170kg x 3? - erm.... my best before was 1.5 plates. Now I got 4 plates after volume work | ||

Never intended on going heavy at allIncline bench (had to adjust grip mid-set as wider meant my shoulder was painful) 60kg x 12 60kg x 12 65kg x 10 65kg x 10 Incline db press 15s x 15 20s x 15 25s x 15 30s x 15 - grip narrower 35s x 8 - grip narrower Flyes - funny enough none of these hurt 10s x 15 12.5s x 15 15s x 15 Shoulder press 10s x 15 15s x 15 17.5s x 15 20s x 15 Side raises Few sets of higher reps Tricep ext with rope 3-4 sets Tricep ext with bar x 3-4 sets Bored Sumo DL with whippy bar. No belt. 60kg x 1 100kg x 1 140kg x 1 170kg x 1 195kg x 1 205kg x 1 Abs, foam rolling, plenty stretching. | ||

Felt fine, think they looked fine Few back squats, no sleeves Snatch grip DL 150kg x 1 170kg x 1 Strict overhead press with 50kg and not too much pain! Loads of pullups, power cleans, some push press Benched 90kg for a single without much pain | ||

Shoulder felt 90% fine, could feel an imbalance but no pain. | ||

Shoulder day - presses on machine, side raise, front raise, db press, bit of triceps, traps. Total 25ish sets. Chest and triceps - Incline bench 60, 65, 70, 75, 80kg for 12, 12, 12, 10, 8? Flat bench 60, 70, 80, 90, 95 for 12, 12, 12, 10, 7 (failed 8th) DB press 4 sets Flyes - 5 sets Triceps - total 12 sets. Motivation provided by Dorian Yates' "Blood and Guts". | ||

I saw him a year before he won his first O. Nice fella and far far more of a deep thinker than he was given credit for. I think a lot of the USA guys he competed against were over confident- cocky...they come across poorly within interviews and in my opinion, very bitter to be beaten by the Shadow. Whilst I couldn't find much about him as an academic, he does definitely present himself as a clearly eloquent bloke. Same can be said for Mike Tyson - his vocabulary is definitely on the higher end for athletes. Next wk went 95 x 8 easy, then 100 x 8 easy. Having shoulder sessions, lats, biceps etc. Yesterday hit 135kg x 6 belted OH bor, plus a ton of other stuff. | ||

Hamstring was fine with these Lat pulldowns 81.5kg x 8 86ish kg x 7 93ish kg x 6-8 Seated rows To stack plus couple of extra kg x 8 Bent rows 50kg db x 8/8 55kg with ez bar x 6-8 per hand Hammer curls, db curl biceps Monkey bars - there and back with 10kg, then there and back no extra weight straight after. Blood blister halfway through, but not too bad. | ||
