P.S. Healthy beard!

Thanks man, the pure volume of shieko seems to have helped loads. My progression was going quite well before that, i think i put ~5kg on it in a month, then another 10-15kg from this in a month. My goal for this year was 130kg, i am pretty confident of hitting that now.

Today will see what it did for my squat and deadlift!

Thanks guys, this routine really seems to have helped my bench come allong quite a lot. Sadly this was the only rep that got recorded and it looks pretty awful, with slight corrections in technique (ie - not dropping the f**king bar on to my chest at the bottom) the 120 isnt far away.

BigKen said:We have Eliko Training Bumpers at Strath Uni gym, not sure where they got them from, but the price difference between the eliko's and the other brand they were looking at was £3k! Eek

The plates seem solid and preety good IMO.

I am sure i remember Andy or someone saying that they got them from pullum, but i am not 100% sure... and i personally wouldnt as they seem massively overpriced on there!

The other gym i train at has had loads of eleiko competition bumpers (the coloured rubber ones) for years apparently, used by powerlifters and olympic lifters regularly and the only problem seems to be the central metal hub working itsself loose, i am sure they would last decades if you made sure it was tightened properly once every few months (they just tighten on with a few bolts - nothing special)

I am sure storage conditions would play a big role in the durability too, if they where being kept in a damp garage with varying temperature the rubber would be more prone to splitting...
