| There is a a powerlifting competition coming up in Folkestone, 29th of August. It is British Powerlifting Unions Bench and Deadlift Nationals, so you have to qualify. BUT! In conjunction is WPC Grand Prix, free for all to enter to try their limits! (not free entry you still have to pay a registration fee  just to clarify)... *edited by GP)Some remarkable gentlemen and women will be in attendance: Emma Ylitalo-James, the biggest female single ply bencher in the world, lifting also around 140kg raw, and competition bests with single ply bench shirt are 190kg at 75kg weight class and 215kg in 90kg, both world records! Kalle Räsänen, Finnish superlifter who has benched 320 and deadlifted 351kg at 90kg of bodyweight. Mitch Horrocks, a newcomer with 21 years of age, 72kg of weight and deadlift of 270! Also many first timers and novices, so a broad range of different lifters. Join in!
