Post Edited: 09.01.2014 @ 12:49 PM by Frenkpie I live in Utrecht and you're welcome to come and train at our facility; one of the best in the Netherlands: 2 yokes, 2 pairs of farmers, stones from 65 to 175 kg, 2000-3000 kg of plates, 3 logs, power stairs blocks, weight for height, 10-15 barbells, fat dumbbells etc.grtz! I saw the U90 on 16th of march but that is the ONLY sunday that I cannot go due to the fact that I'm returning saturday evening late from Austria (Snowboarding). BUt I see that there a lot more competitions, I'll dig in to that. Thnx! | |||

Some of you might have heard of a friend of mine who's competed in a few International Strongman competitions: Gijs Boeijen. We train at his strongman facility Raw Power Baarn. For video's see: http://www.youtube.com/user/RawPowerBaarn I'm 28 years and active in strength training for about 12/13 years and active in strongman competitions for about 5/6 years now. I love the sport and I've competed in about 20-25 competitions in Netherlands and Belgium. The problem is, is that the sport here is too small to participate in competitions with different weight classes. So 99% of the time I compete against guys who are 20-50 kg heavier than I am and most of the time 10-20 cm taller. The only weight capped competition that I participated was the Dutch strongest man U105 last year. Here I managed to finish 4th out of 15 competitors. I've heard that in England / Scotland are some U90 competitions and even qualifications for Europe's / World's strongest man U90. My stats: 1.72m / 88-89 kg 270 kg deadlift (300 from car tyre height) 200 kg full olympic squat 130 kg log press 370 kg yoke for 15m 145 kg farmer's walk for 15m 160 kg stone @1.32m and lifted a 110 kg stone at 1.80m Is there a way that I might be able to compete in one of these competitions?
