31/05/2014 - NIPF Maxx Power Championships Squat 1: 210kg good lift Squat 2: 225kg good lift (2.5kg PB) Squat 3: 230kg good lift (7.5kg PB) Bench 1: 150kg good lift Bench 2: 160kg good lift Bench 3: 167.5kg fail Deadlift 1: 240kg good lift Deadlift 2: 255kg good lift Deadlift 3: 265kg fail 645kg total @ 123.2kg Really enjoyed the competition. There were very small numbers in the flights so there was no break between squats benches and deadlift and very little time between each lift. Definitely back down to under 120kg class and get my ass in much better shape. Hope to push for a spot on the 4 nations team in September. | |||

30/04/2014 - Bench Bench Bar x 2 x 20 60 x 10 80 x 8 100 x 6 120 x 4 140 x 2 160 x 3 Ground out the third rep with 160. Slowest rep I have ever done but glad I was able to fight through it. Felt slight bit of a strain in left shoulder so left it there. Considering I failed 155 at my last comp after failing 160 in training, I am much more optimistic about the comp at the end of May! | |||

13/04/2014 - Squat Original plan today was squat and deadlifts but was sore after helping out loading at the 4 Nations Strongman event that I just finished squats. Was a superb competition was glad to be part of it. That is two top notch competitions we have put on in that venue and will hopefully do some more too! Deadlift later in the week then bit of a deload and start to up the weights and drop to triples and doubles on squats and deads.
