First time I've seen you lifting for a few months Youngy... Looking very sharp tonight! Three blue's clean can't be far off (if you've not already done it)!

Date: 25-Aug-12 Bodymass: 76.4kg Weightlifting Scotland Western Districts Snatch 80kg, 85kg, 85kg Clean & Jerk 100kg, 108kg, 108kg Total 180kg Training's been very hit and miss since "the bomb" and I've not really been following a program per se. I've hit a couple 85kg snatches and felt snatch was decent going in to the comp today. Warm-up felt great and first snatch felt really comfortable. Youngy has the videos so looking forward to hearing your opinions on the other two attempts. I needed 192kg total to qualify for the Scottish Seniors and thought an 85kg/107kg would be realistic so missing that 85kg meant I made it relatively hard for myself to qualify. Was going to take a 112kg on the second attempt but decided to go for a step in between. Anyway, I cleaned 108kg twice but jerk wasn't close. Going to get back on a programme now and start to train properly for the next one... Whenever that may be!

Koklyaev should have been there. It'd have been the Russians way of saying: "Yes, we f*cked the 105's up... here's a special treat for everyone [enter Misha to an awesome lights show with good music and surrounded by sh*t loads of naked chicks]"

VanillaGorilla said: Good point, if Klokov failed he's the only one who was using, so all the others are clean and he's a terrible baby eating rapist cheat. Yeah, Klokov is the only one at the Games using... Allegedly using... I'm just bitter cause I've been looking forward to the Akkaev v Klokov rematch since Paris 2011. Let's blame WADA, damn doping control!

Post Edited: 06.08.2012 @ 21:36 PM by Gordy87 Had a quick look over the last few Olympics (Heavyweight) at the winner and their totals:110kg 1988: Zakharevich 455 1992: Weller 432.5 108kg 1996: Taimazov 430 105kg 2000: Tavakolli 425 2004: Berestov 425 2008: Aramnau 436 2012: Torokhtiy 412 In conclusion, that was pish. Klokov - you've made an arse of it. In other news, apparently Klokov tested positive: Randall Strossen: "Klokov was positive, a Russian colleague just told me - exactly what everyone suspected - and he said that Akkaev really was injured." Let's hope Salimi comes through tomorrow night and sets a few records! Edit: Akkaev may genuinely be injured. If that's the case, I still like Akkaev but Klokov...
