Rogue Fitness and Powerlifting

What is the Sugden opinion on Rogue Fitness for Powerlifting ?
It appears that the Ohio Power is as good as the Texas Power Bar or even better ?
Their power racks and squat stands the monster lite range appear to have good reviews ?
I always put Rogue in the Crossfit arena with Again Faster.
I have not dealt with them as they ship from Belgium and never really gave them thought until recently as they are appearing more and more in the powerlifting community.
I have an old Texas Power Bar which I think is better build quality but maybe I need to get 21st century. Move over Ivanko and Eleiko, Rogue are on the rise by the look of it in powerlifting. No UK outlet yet, but they will soon I would think.

My gym has a couple of rogue power bars and they are excellent. They seem to have created an almost exact replica of the eleiko power bar.

They've been adding quality PL and SM stuff over the years. Not cheap, but people seem happy. There's a European website, surely they ship to the UK?

I don't think you'd go too far wrong with their stuff nowadays.

Somebody needs to tell them 20's shouldn't be Red though. Happy

On one of brian shaws benching videos he has a set of rouge hooks that swing out the way when you unrack the bar. Wouldnt mind a set of those.

Has IPF approved bar and approved IPF plates... personally I spent the extra cash and ordered an eleiko Pl bar for Sunday best rather than a rogue... IMO the eleiko is still a better bar but obviously it's just over twice the price .. obviously having my own set up it pays back eventually and eleikos hold there value better than any bar I reckon .. so I thought ffff it . The calibrated plates look a bargain compared to others. A pair of 25s is about 180 Euro plus shipping which obviously goes down as a percentage in terms of the more you buy... I priced out 25x6 20x2 15x2 10x2 and 5x2 delivered at less than 950 GBP which is hard to beat IMO

20s are blue in calibrated plates I've been looking at ...

Great kit. Ohio bar is about 1/3 that of an Eleiko bar and very close to being as good. Other bits of kit I have used of theirs has also been very good

I just think Rogue will have a office/factory/outlet in the UK at the end of the so called withdrawl from the EU, currently they ship from Belgium.
Again Faster are on these shores.
Rogue do produce great looking kit, their racks with their infinity monolift look great.Westside Barbell even have a Rogue rack.
Never used their bars but they get great reviews.
Bulldog Gear UK are coping them in my opinion not sure if they are in the same league as Rogue but the Bulldog Gear racks are a complete copy and do manufacture a composite Bulldog bar which is a copy of a Rogue bar in my opinion.
Good name Rogue, good marketing and the products seem to hold up.
Strange how old strength brands like York fall away and a newcomer like Rogue emerge and become a force. Hammer Strength is still respected as a good strength brand. I would agree Eleiko bars are seen as the pinnacle of bars, maybe with an Ivanko.

Not used an ivanko think they're 28.5mm heard maybe not quite as grippy ..

Let us know how that Eleiko feels and performs.

I hope it is like a women in silk and grips like an Aston Martin Vanguish or Ducati on Snaefell Mountain, either way I have no chance of a Eleiko or Vanquish or a Ducati....I do have a chance of a women in silk from time to time.

You enjoy it, life is short so go for it.Happy

Women cost more money long term than an eleiko ... lol ... and after 16 years you can probably get just about your cash back invested on eBay on.a good bar .. lol
