which one? Bison or the elite? checked and shipping doesnt seem bad but out of the bison bars.

despite York being such an established company I amfinding it hardto buy into the brand as feel it wont be worth the money - stupid i know but see York andthink of argos catalogue equipment!

think i am getting spoiled for choice now! looked at the bison bar on d8fitness too.

also like the look of the wolverson hydrid bar. FFS in reality i would want to see/feel the bars lol. always been old school and would rather go to a shop rather than buy online!!!

keyser_soze said:this is actually a really good bar for the money. wouldn't be putting huge weight on it but it spins really well. only replaced it because I had a bit of disposable cash and got some new bars.

was surprised at the amount of spin in the video. its one that is definitely tempting - justfeels too cheap if you know what I mean

Rated to 400kg. About £180 after conversion.

have you used it? was looking for personal recommendations

don't mind shipping in from ireland but do wonder what the freight costs would push it up a fair bit

joint a new powerlifting gymand spoilt for choice on power bars. however After comp next month want to get my weightlifting back as a focus. the gym has bumper plates but all the bars dont feel good doing cleans and snatches.

as such want to buy my own bar which i leave in the gymjust for weightlifting. havent got tons of disposable cash so want a bar that is

*sub £200
*28mm
* loads of spin on collars

any suggestions?
so far looked at
*strength shop 2028 bar
*supreme fitness bar
*wolverson bar
*powerhouse fitness competition bar

in a perfect world I would push the boat out and get evolution bar from strengthshop but its probably more than i can justify with a new baby in the household

» jerk blocks. home made?? maybe... (Go to post)22-05-2015 @ 22:22
i wanted to make my own - first thoughts was stacked pallets withply and rubber topping but thought the palletswouldlikely break to easily.

second thought was building proper ones out of scaffold boards. would be cheap but feel the time invested.would be such that it would be easier to work more and buy proper ones
