Although at the end of the day, it is your comp

maybe our comp but if competitors dont enjoy due to the little things then we will feel we have failed somewhat

talen on board and will look at the scoring system and finalise before the end of the month so plenty of times and no complaints about changing things last minute

sorry - yes we have uncapped the numbers now as we spoke to paradise wildlife park and ensured we could run more head to heads and potentially up to four competitors going at once in some events as space and all the operational issue means we can have as many competitors as want to enter

Who would pay for all those out of competition tests though? He'll have a start-up fed with a membership of zero.

the funding from drug testing comes through sponsorship - my company EQ nutrition is funding all the drug testing this year and we would stump up for out of season testing along with any federation entry fee. we also have some good sponsors on board like big out of industry compnaies such as Ricoh and potentially samsung

whilst i would trust all the competitors, we will not apologise for trying our best to ensure we use as many tools as possible to ensure those entering the contests are not only drug free on the day but actually natural competitors

considering that we only was looking at having 20 competitors in the whole event and we have surpassed that in entry forms in the first two weeks suggests theres a desire amongst competitors for it and we would and are not looking for any financial gains from this endevour (we will be making a loss) - this is all about putting on the best possible contest for natural competitors.

unfortunately not this year - again just the one show, with the amount of time being taken up with the new nutrtion company it just wasnt practical as we have new products coming out regularly and tons of stuff to do for that

next year we want to have a southern qualifier and a northern qualifier (will be looking for someones help on this one up there in the wildernessGrin ) and will probably get it registered like a federation which will then allow us to do out of comp testing as well to really try and keep it as drug free as possible

Ok we have been in talks with pardise wildlife park and look at the issues with competitor numbers and can squeeze in more head to heads on some events

as such we will now uncap the competition
» EQ nutrition 2010 Natural British strongman (Go to post)13-05-2010 @ 14:31
we are in talks with the park at the moment to see about space and see if potentially we can rearrange events for greater head to heads to open up more spaces as the demand for this is suprising

the under 105kg class is full now - anyone applying after this date for that class can be put on a provisional list and will be called by date application if someone calls out to be given first refusal for entry.

still places in the over 105kg category though

there is ten per class

the rules manual which explains scoring is explained is available on the mm5.co.uk website

we will however be more organised in terms of this info being available to competitors though it going straight onto an excel spreadsheet with formulas etc in so points ect are done automatically and hopefully this will mean things will be quicker and more efficient

we learn't alot from last yer and the two classes makes it easier to have more appropriate weights - last year we didnt know if we would get the competitors so was trying to appeal to too many

if you enjoyed last year i can promise this year will be a blast as we have such a great venue and we are currenlty in talks with a few Tv channels about advertising and coverage

should be a great event for both the competitors and the families as theres tons to do in the park on the day with a massive play area both indoors and outdoors right next to the arena as well as the animal park, loads of food outlets inside and the competitors will get there own massive room to relax in between events and stay out of the sun etc

in addition we will have stalls and commercial sponsors there with there prmotional stuff such as ricoh and samsung (who we are trying to get to supply an eletronic scoreboard throughout the day)

all competitors will get a free t-shirt and there will be prizes for winners etc
