A s**t one, maybe it was coming, maybe I needed it.

The single with a 100 wasn't bad so I went for a 10k jump to 110. Had a decent fight with it just less than half way up but it wasn't going. The descent wasn't great and the bar slumped a tiny bit to the right at the bottom.

The attempt with 107 was a total write off; the bar felt like about 200 in my hands and I should have just racked it and saved Joni the trouble off picking it off my chest.

Got a bit of a well deserved bollocking from Olly on the way home, need to sort my head out especially when I am in Sugden. I'm on cruise control at the minute. I don't really like training there at the minute but it's not an excuse to train like an idiot.

Lessons to be learnt must include more conservative jumps with PB attempts and sorting my head out.

The rest of the workout was a write off, too pissed off!

i think some singles on 2 and 3 board bench is what is needed 110-120 board presses for the next few weeks will give you the confidence mate

It happens. 110 will fall really soon. Don't worry.

Look on the bright side: we all get crap sessions occasionally when training's been really flying for a while, the way yours has. You're just not used to it because in the past you've always got injured before you hit the wall!

The russian routine is a tricky one though - you had PB in you in your earlier days but you decided to carry on with the routine. I am not saying you missed a peak, judging from the speed of the 100 you defo have a PB in you, but then again, you have looked strong on previous sessions.

Me, i dont trust these detailed and structured routines any more, i have missed a peak more often than not, so if i feel strong, i will use it (and because of life getting in the way, eating, sleeping, stress at work and elsewhere you never know beforehand when it happens).

Anyways, f**k it, nail it next time.

Good one tonight, deadlifts were pretty fast and I'm finally starting to get rid of that rounded upper back, which is almost certainly part of my lockout weakness.

Squats were good there's more in there, don't want to push it too far before dropping back down a bit though - must respect the groin.

Talk in the air of regular Monday and Friday night workouts with the boar, now that I am part of the Adlington key club! Jonny if you could whack my lifts up when you get the time mate (even the 155 dl single please). Cheers.

yea, i didnt know that if you joined (pay monthly fee) a shiney key is handed over and i can trott along when its closed with roberto et al, will ask dan if he wants to come along, but my reps membership will be finished in a couple of weeks....

Cheers Jonny and Dave. A race to 400 sounds like fun.

Joni, Adlington is going to be my first choice now and I will only be training at Sugden when I have to. This is no slight on you guys as I love training with you all and you are great training partners, but Sugden is a s**t gym.

I focus so much better at Adlington; which is also making it increasingly harder to do so when in Sugden as all the annoyances that I once took for granted are just so more obvious.

Here is the 155 single and one of the triples with 170. I was really pleased with 155 because that is the form I want. I think my setup has come on quite a lot in the past few weeks.
