Thought i'd start a journal up over here as i always read the posts but contribute very little.

My training is the basics involving 2-3 sessions a week

Session 1
Squats
Bench
Rows

Session 2
Deadlifts
Pushpress
Chins

I hope to compete this year and hopefully get 650+. I am also considering having a dabble into the world of strongman.

Tonys a great lifter , very close to me in terms of strength.

But not so close that my near fatal RTI will stop me bagging a 600lb deadlift first.

Alright Dave mate. The volume is pretty low but it works for me. Tried Kortes and Smolov but neither did anything for me weight wise. Kortes did sort my form right out though.

Tuesday

Squats
5x60kg
3x100kg
3x140kg
3x185kg

Benchpress
5x60kg
3x80kg
3x100kg
1x120kg
3x135kg

Barbell rows
8x85kg

Pleased with squats and bench progress. Did well to make 3 on bench as I clipped the stand on the 2 rep which threw me a bit, made the third rep a right grind.

yea, i shouldnt really be there - mabie if there was a powerlifting one as i write the newsletter and keep the totals updated , I'd vote for tokar !!

Why does james hate you? Your views on the journal section, that is the only moment where conflict could arise. Tony your progress has been excellent over the last year!

Yes, that principally. There was another disagreement earlier in the year over Rob's Muscletalk2 site. My attitude towards him has softened since he replied to my email though. Thinking of reinstating my journal.

Didn't feel up for this session really, trying to fit it in around call outs never works very well.

Deadlifts

Worked up to 3x225kg

Pushpress

2x102.kg

Chins BW+6.25kgx7

First deadlift flew up, second was a grind, third made it past kness and stalled. A little bit of hitching and a few seconds later managed to lock it out. Funny thing is the first felt so easy I had flashes of getting 5 but I seem to tire very quickly, not quite sure how to sort this out.
