how much is the GBPF joining fee these days?
Avatarbrynevans
For this year annual membership was £35 seniors and £20 juniors. They have introduced a scheme where you pay a reduced rate from september til year end if it's your first year of joining.

About 4 weeks to go and we have a few entries trickling in so could all those who are lifting get your entries to me soon. We are planning to make an extra effort to ensure this is the best contest of the year which does involve knowing exactly how many lifters we have. Please come and support the event by lifting, spectating or helping, if anyone wants to do some loading could they let me know in advance too.
Intershape are going to be selling a hearty breakfast on the day and possibly lasagne along with the usual beverages and supplements

I'm hoping to make it and spectate, sounds like it's gonna be a good watch !

I know we spoke on the fone but I have a few guys wanting to do bench only. Id rather support northwest than do the bench only comp on the same day in B/ham. I think if Igors not lifting I rope him into spotting and loading and after bench ill be more than happy to load deadlifts and shout abuse at lifters as they approach the bar

So 1055 has won the IPF Worlds. How close do we think Mr Felix might get to that at the NW?
AvatarBoar

I don't think Mark is looking for a huge total. Don't forget he is technically a powerlifting novice, I suspect he will have a run out without going over the top. That isnt to say there won't be a BIG deadlift on show though, who knows..

I agree with Wigan. I would expect him to aim for whatever he needs to qualify for the British. No point doing more than you have too.

A note to Bryn though, if Mr. F does go for a big deadlift, will you have enough weights ?

I would be very interested in hearing if Mark has used the equipemnt before? Or is he going to be lifting unequipped?
