Thanks for that.
I have just enjoyed a 10 minute google search of Salford and now I am wiser because of you.

Same here and I live less than an hour away.

You're very welcome.

I recall an episode of Pointless where the question was "name an English city west of Sheffield"

Liverpool scored in the low 70's, Manchester in the mid 80's and Salford scored 2. That astonished me. Maybe this goes some way to explaining that.

Wednesday, December 2nd, start 16:00

So, here we go again, I shall recommence with squats as I miss them the most

Squat, sleeves and boots on
20 x 5
20 x 5
20 x 5
20 x 5
60 x 5
belt on
80 x 5
90 x 5
100 x 5
110 x 5
120 x 5
130 x 5
130 x 5
130 x 5

The legs held up very well, the spot where the bar rests on the back was also fine, but the arms felt it, keeping the bar in place was harder than I remember. All were good depth and this was fun. In one word - weary.
I'll sleep tonight

Another day off today, training later, maybe bench, maybe not. Christmas is always disruptive to training so things may be a little hit and miss until the year turns. Then we will just have to see. It has been narrowed down to two, just a matter of which one

Two what? Tribes? Little boys? Pac?

You can't just say things then leave it you know.

The intention is to train three days - Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

I was doing Squat / bench / deadlift / bench and repeat.

I am tempted to change this to a more traditional Squat / bench / deadlift and repeat

This last one is especially tempting as at the moment I have ditched deadlift and have replaced it with a more varied back routine. I may go with that option until deadlift reappears and then I may take the first option again.

Until the new year I may adopt a more, play-it-by-ear approach

So... intention, tempted, especially tempting, I may go, I may take, play-it-by-ear approach?

People have written novels with less of a start than that Wink

Yes. Exactly.
I believe that while eschew the deadlift a week between squats will be sufficient but when deadlifts are re-introduced it may not be and ten days will be prefereble. Plans are had to make while the disruption of christmas looms. It will all get sorted before new year.

Surely all novels start with a single word. If memory serves me correctly "The Hobbit" starts with the word "In" and "The Hound of the Baskervilles" starts with the word "Mr".
Does not the post to which you refer also start with a single word ?

Very quiet tonight just the three of us. Me, Mack and Sergeant Sitdown. It was cold tonight, very cold. Sergeant Sitdown declared himself delighted that he had deployed his winter training trousers. I applaud the use of the word deploy in the context of trousers. I suspect that it is his former military experiences that made him use it. The Adders vocabulary can be very entertaining at times :-)

Happy

But every word starts with a single letter, so doesn't that mean that every novel does? Or does this mean anything without the instigating idea behind the word, and letter? I don't know.

Christmas first eh?
