No huge waiting around, and slickly from one event to another, good work mate. Tony looked great in the 105, very consistent on everyhting and a hige improvemnet in speed on the farmers too, definitely in with a shout for BSM. Owen looked strong as always, as did big Ben France, with another great performance. Will, should be chuffed with qualification cause he knows he has so much more to give @ Englands. Log was abit of a shambles with the tyre etc, am sure he would have been top 2 but for that, great presser. He really put it in on stones too, balls to hospital wall, great stones performance and PB I think In the opens Mick & Shawn were considerbaly ahead of everyone else IMO. Mick took the piss with deadlift, and Shawn won log with ease. Was nice to mett Martin Jones (cracking fella) and sure he would have been pushing the top 2 but for a few niggles I was happy with my performance, although could have been fatsre on the yoke without a drop. Was dissapointed with farmers, but 2 lads went less than me, with a couple only doing 20m, so hey-ho. Big thanks to Joni for the drive home when I was riddled with cramp LOL. Anyhow, my day:- 270KG Axle Deadlift 1 rep, however pulled 1 before the whsitle, so I will say 2 LOL. Failed a further 2 with grip mid thigh, so gotta be happy with that 120 Log 4 reps on this, PB. Got me equal 3rd, however, they did it by whoeva did the reps quickes, which knocked me down to 5th-6th 360KG Yoke 15ish seconds, with 1 drop. Dead tie with Shawn and beat Mick by few 100ths of a second. Winner got 13ish seconds, which I feel I could have got without the drop. Happy to finish equal 2nd though 150KG Farmers 15ms ish. Pick up was f**king hard, pickup was quite low!! OPnce I dropeed them, no chance I would get them up again. 6th 165KG Stone to 48" Failed a few pickus, then lapped the f**ker. Once in the bottom position though, not enough power to drive up and load the f**ker. 165 is a totally different ball game to 150, could not believe how much heavier it felt!! Will load a 165-70 this year though Finished 6th overall, but dont think I am light years behind those in 4th-5th (although I could be deluded). Will definitely be sticking at 105 for the time being, but definitely not afraid og mixing it with the big boys from time to time PS. My gf informed me iceman was calling me a pussy/lightweight when I was trying to load the 165 stone, so cant wait see who the "lightweight" is come Englands!! | ||

We are not talking of huge improvements here, just 5-15% here and there and you would have placed right up there.
