Power stairs
tried to build the weights and heights of 200kg to 50cm and 254 to 40cm, but the duck walk handle is just way way too long and cant really get the loading height. A lot of battle and struggle with the weights, did nail both of them in the end but it was messy.
Moral of the story: fine doing the power training for this event without platforms, but also have to go to some training ground with proper implements to load (unless the comp implements are similar to the ones i train with in which case i will be in trouble lol!).
Still have some tricks up my sleeve though...

i know what you mean mate I am not a fan of that either, would have been nicer just to have lets say 3 sets of farmers, 100, 120 and 140 and do them for time perhaps.
Dumbell is heavy enough as it is for me you pressing beast bas***d!

Today the session turned out better than anticipated "i will just do some light snatches and jerks"...

When it got it right it felt so easy that went for it twice after "within 75 seconds". Most misses were close. The Plan has to be that very soon i will do a session with all the above succesful lifts.
Narrow grip board press

Then later at virgin gym:
kettlebell clean & press 10 x 16, 20, 24kg kbs
dumbell press 10 x 26
left only dumbell press work
some lateral raises and stuff.
1hr in jacuzzi & sauna - did this yesterday too and i think there was a marked difference in recovery.
