Lovely to see you again Mr tachebadger great squat pb , and even a nice dubious beltless pb in the deadlift!Honour even in the strict press stakes now, and i think you'll agree the fat horse has the more impressive gunz power!

Lovely to see you today. Well done on the squat PB. I enjoyed our little mentions of Bigfoot, laziness, glory hunting, etc etc. The imaginary rabbit trapped underneath 245 kilos helped me!
Well done to The Owl too

True, although it's the pressing bit I'm worsest at.

hehe! I do seem to have developed a bit of forearm tendon pain, so I think I may have to lay off the max curls for a while.

And tyre.
Again, true. I do seem to bruise the mighty ceps whenever I try tyre flipping.

Sorry to read of your woes, Mr Mike. Cars have always just seemed like an expensive nightmare to me.
I'll be deadlifting again on Saturday, but depending on how I feel it'll probably be 200 for a couple, or possibly even a couple of sets if I'm feeling energetic... Which I won't be.

Always a pleasure to be lured into your Quorn powered glucose filled gay sex van Mr Ed. At least I beat you on the squat and dead, which are the important ones after all.

If you'd done a poo I'm sure you'd have beaten me Mr Beef. Congrats on the 230 dead by the way. Your deadlifting like God, moves in very mysterious ways.

Thanks Mr Wayne! I very much enjoyed our little chats too. Totally inspired by your lazy training methods even more now after seeing you in action (if you pardon the expression). I shall be in touch soon about the exciting yet for now secret little thing we were talking about. Oh! And I need to find you some good Big Foot links too. It's nearly the anniversary of the Big Foot thread you know!!

Always a pleasure to see Mr Al. And congratulations yourself, you big strong f**ker! Imagine the Mr Al potential with an improved clean! (Not saying you need a wash, but in a barbell clean kind of way).
oli said:Well done today. Nice squat pb too!
Thank you kindly Mr Oli and congratulations to you. Very impressive lifting all day!
Anyway....
What a smashing little competition that was! Well done Mr Ed for organising it all.
My lifts were as follows:
Squat:
120kg
125kg
130kg PB! (still a f**king gay one, but hey ho!)
Strict Press:
65kg
70kg
75kg Failed.
Deadlift:
210kg
220kg Went a bit dizzy after this and had to have a little sit down
227.5kg Failed. It wasn't going anywhere.
I am claiming the 220 as a beltless PB though. I'm not going to wear a belt anymore, like all my strength heroes. Not that I have worn one for the last few months anyway. It's the way forward.
Curl:
55kg
60kg Fail
60kg Fail
It was on one of those weird wiggly woggly bars that are so popular with the kind of people who train for their summer holidays. 55 was ok, but 60 wasn't going to happen. I should have gone 57.5, but no one gave a s**t by this point.
I've got to go back out to work in a bit, but I might put my little videos (of me) on here later.

Cheers Mr Sam. I thought I was ok after it, but it knocked f**k out of me to be honest, but there again I am getting on a bit.

Thank you kindly sir! Shame you couldn't make it. Maybe next year?
davycummings13/12/11 @ 09:21
Your squat looked easy for a PB.
If you can get your elbows in under the bar you will be tighter and more upright, and may find it easier still.

Thanks Mr Davy.
Yes, I only recently learnt of that elbows under the bar tip and I had been trying to do that during training, but then my tiny little mind all goes funny during competitive moments and I don't think enough. Hopefully if I keep trying to do that it'll become second nature.
Wayne_Cowdrey16/12/11 @ 23:16
No training sir?
When I said "less is more" I didn't mean that no training at all would yield the best results!
