f**king hell its cold in the garden - just put some grit down before i have breakfast and get the enthusiasm to go out there and do a bit.

yea mate , just think when its 'go time' you would have wanted as much training under your belt as you can get ..... or we (INC SMALLS) will punish and punish hard !

Your right guys - WTF was i thinking. Well ive just done a session at 'The Outhouse' and despite the weather i was only cold for about 5 mins then i was sweating my cock off. Will update what i did plus a bonus vid when i get back - just need to go out for a bit.

Trained at home this morning at 'The Outhouse' - was limited what i could do due to the snow so moving events were out of the question.
Gritted the patio before breakfast but it was still a bit icy so came up with a ghetto lifting platform in the form of carpet.

Axle Clean & Press
10x30kg (Empty Bar)
3x70kg (Power Clean)
3x70kg (Power Clean)
3x75kg (Power Clean)
1x75kg (Hitler Clean)
1x75kg (Hitler Clean)
1x75kg (Beltless Continental)

First time using an axle apart from my failed lift at the Dragons comp. Just playing around with different cleans to see which was fastest and most effective.
At the moment im s**te at all of them so more work is needed.

Inch Dumbbell Press
30kg x 5 Left & Right (Strict Press)
35kg x 5 Right & 4 Left (Strict Press)
40kg x 4 Right & 4 Left (Push Press)
45kg x 2 Right & 0 Left (Push Press)
40kg x 5 Right & 3 Left (Push Press)

Again, first time using an inch dumbbell which is didnt really have a problem with the thickness. More the fact that i never do dumbbell work so hence why im not great - still got time to work on this and strengthen my left shoulder which seems to be my weaker one.

Power Stairs 1ft Ledge
150kg x 3

Dont really know why i did these - suppose it was after watching Tony doing them a few weeks ago and that i was at a loss due to the snow.

Had planned on doing some sort of loading or stones to finish off but i couldnt find my tacky and i still havent got anything higher than 40" to load onto.

Then procedded to walk to the pub which would normally take 5 mins but today took 20 mins due to ice skating most of the way. Consumed 6 pints of lager i cant spell then headed home to clear the fridge of food.



Ive also discovered a cheap form of 5kg plates:

Brake discs off my old Civic Type R that weighs just under 5kg. Will be spot once wedged between plates on a bar.

nice work mate , i think ill struggle to beat you on the OH stuff , and im not atall confident on the moving stuff either !!

id better get training EVEN HARDER

The pressing wont be a problem for me as ive done numerous 90x8 push presses at the end of a max session but its the clean i need to work on. Not had much experience with an axle so need to find whichever way works best for me.

Your too modest Boar - i seem to remember you being about 12 places ahead of me at the Dragons.

well , my bout of swine flu , damaged shoulder and a mild junkfood binge left me with much to do .... I entered the comp mainly to focus my training as i tend to 'dilly-dally' if ive not got somthing on , having said that ,there is a good 6/7 weeks training and thats should be plenty of time providing nothing breaks !!

please give me your estimates for the 90kg axle and 45 dumbell ....oh, and what do you weight at the mo ?

Ill be happy if i can get double figures on the DB and as for the axle ive no idea at this point. If it was purely down to the pressin then i would again say double figures but its the clean that may slow me down. Need to find the quickest way.

As for bodyweight i think im sitting around 95-96kg at the moment. Aiming to be around 100kg and leaner by the northerns in April so am eating and drinking calories every 2 hours to get the energy i need to train.

In all honesty I think it will be a well fun comp especially with you c**ts to compete with/against. Mainly against. But since I will probably come worst out of those 5, I shall use "with" for now.

The only competition ill be competing in on the day is against myself. When im not lifting ill be cheering all you f**kers on to lift more and more.
