thought id start a log on here

had the snip last tuseday and this was my 1st sess back

bench

bar 8
40kg 8
60kg 8

working sets

75kg 5
80kg 3
90kg 4

tri press downs

55kg 3 sets of 8

db incline bench

32.5kg 4 sets of 6

skull crushers

40kg 3 sets of 8
20kg 1 set to failure (24)

not looking forward to deadlifting as me balls are still iffy atm but il see how i hold up tomorrow

Good luck with the training and the journal. Reading about the snip made my balls retract - hope you get back to it soon enough.

back day today

18" deads (axle)

100kg 1 set of 8

140kg 1 set of 8

180 1 set of 5

220 1 set of 3

260 1 set of 3

300 3 set of 1


normal axle dead

trying to get used to using a suit (first time ever using a dl suit)

200kg 1 set of 5

220kg 1 set of 3

240kg single and 1 fail (had nothing in the tank)

60kg pull downs 3sets of 8

weighted goodmornings (40kg) 3sets of 8

and some grip work to finish

30kg(2x15kg) single hand plate pinch until just before failing 3 sets

30kg (3x10kg) single hand same as above

40kg (2x20kg) single hand same again

60kg (3x20kg) double hand same as single hand

my grip has gone down hill s**t loads so i think i need to work loads on it

i think once i get used to the suit il have 280-300 but i think it will take a bit of time to get the full benefit from it

John, is this a plate pinch with metal plates with the smooth sides out? If so, impressive.

yes got them off the deck but only for 3 or 4 secs

not a bad sess didnt have much in tank after the van pull/push and felt sick (still do now)

calf rases

200kg 10 reps

then from No 4 to No14 10 reps each set up and back down only resting while my training partner was doing his set

and 50kg side bends 3 sets of 8 aside

not a bad sess felt a bit lethargic most of the way though but apart from the squat i dont think i could have done much more weight wise but id like to be doing 200kg for 10+ reps but think if i get back on the SP250 il be doing 210kg easy

Nice squatting Strangey. Were they oly squats as in a2g, no belt or wraps?

oly squats yes mate i did use a belt on the last set im trying to strengthen my core so if i can get away without using a belt i will
