Just my personal thoughts on the matter: I reckon it would be a good idea to have 2 groups and thus 2 weights per event.
I know it's an informal thing really and just for the crack, but there is a wide range of experiences and abilities here and if only one weight was used it would be either too heavy for some or too light for others.
So may be worth getting anyone interested to put themselves realistically in either catagory: Novice or open.
No need for 3 different weights. That makes things needlessly complicated.
There's plenty of time yet, so why not wait to see how many show an interest and put their names down and then guage wether it's worth having seperate classes.
2 classes should be easy to manage and score. You're either in one or the other.
And bearing in mind it's a practice event leading up to comp season, it makes sense for folk to practice in there proposed group for the season.
And if they feel like having ago at the other weights after they've done their own just to see what it's like then so be it, time permitting. And with only 5 events that should be do-able.

Anyway, just my thoughts.....

As its you JT we can move to the 21st of February.

I must stress though that this will be the only date change so make sure your diaries are clear.

Formalised list of events.

Deadlift rising bar
Each competitor gets 3 lifts and can jump in/pass when they like. Bar will start at 200 and rise in 10kg increments.

Farmers Walk
130kg for distance, high pick up. Length of course will be dictated by the size of cleggys car park.

Log lift for max
Same rules as deadlift log starts at 80kg.

Yoke
300kg for time over a designated course.

Stone for reps over yoke in 75 seconds.
2 stones 100kg and 130kg. Rep with heaviest stone beats any reps with smaller stone.

Think thats does the best to negate flights/groups with everyone competing against each other.

solid

I think thats a f**king great set of events Tony, and not too technical so as to stop anyone from turning up and having a go.
AvatarTony
Volunteers to come and load and move s**t about would be appreciated.
AvatarWILLSAN
I like it. only thing I would say is there may be call for a lighter yoke weight if anymore novice level guys are doing it? I struggled with 240 when I first did yoke. just a thought.
