This is a ridiculous argument, people should be supporting Ed, he's the first British worlds strongest man in a long time and he still gets people talking s**t about him - amazing.

i'm not talking s**t lol - i like eddie and i've never said he wasn't ill.
i'm stating facts off IG - he's lost some weight (183kg now down from what was his WSM weight 195?)

I've always supported ed, I believed he'd pull 500kg, I believed he'd win worlds a long time before most people did. But now I believe he's dropped off his training. Just because I'm not blindly believing every word he says doesn't mean "I'm giving him s**t", no body has said anything disrespectful about him. But a lot of people believe he had zero intention of competing me included, I said it before the show and it seems too big a coincidence. His social media style has changed since worlds, nearly everything he posts now is a video from before worlds!
You're entitled to believe him, why you're getting so offended others don't is beyond me.

Bingo.

You can both support someone and question them.
Or you can be a sheep and suck someones balls and believe every word they say.

184kg 20th of last month but looked to have abs showing a bit. How is he that big if he's hardly training / spending most of his time lying to people? Doesn't really add up. He was heavier for worlds because it was a much heavier comp (keep in mind as well that 184kg is without carb up).

^^ Yeah, because everyone said he 'was hardly training'.

Worlds was not a much heavier comp.

400kg dead for reps, 470kg yoke, 470kg frame carry, stones up to 200kg.

Unless someone has carb/water depleted as they do for a target weigh-in then there's very little ability to carb load/up, as carb stores in the muscle/liver would be full anyway.

Open competitors tend to walk around at their competitive weight unless they are bulking/cutting for a specific comp/reason. It's not like being an u90/u105 competitor who can add 5-10kg overnight following a carb/water cut pre-weigh in. Heavyweight competitors are only adding that weight overnight if they are just gorging themselves on food, which wouldn't add an competitive edge anyway, in most instances.

why would any strongman trying to win an opens comp be carb depleting 4 weeks out?

Exactly!

I'm not sure why Paul thinks Eddie has the ability to carb up on a normal day to day basis. Maybe it's something to do with these magic calories?

Ed has said he carbs up for comps, ask him about it, he has detailed it before. He also does carb up meals for training sessions (I'm guessing just heavy weights ones or events). This is also what I do / have Becca do. Why would ed not have the ability to carb up?

You did by suggesting he hadn't carbed up. You can only carb up if you first deplete

Can you f**k only carb up if you first deplete, why do you think this?

So, your body only stores a certain amount of glycogen in the muscles and liver and in most situation these stores are kept full. If you deplete your glycogen stores you can temporarily supercompensate and increase storage above normal levels, however, this is a very short lived thing. THAT is why you can only carb load after depleting.

Now tell me Paul, why the f**k do you think you can carb up when you've not depleted?
