With respect the last comment dosnt make sense. Unless 'few' is being used to mean 'many'?

Well with there been lots of members in e GBPF and I have only trained with a FEW of them and most of them have been using, that says to me that there must be a lot of people around the country cheating.

It is no way at all an attack on the GBPF it's just my observation I have no ties to any FEDS and will be competing in the GPC my self when I am back to a decent standard, it's a shame that people can't just go lift in the GPC or what ever of they want to use.

Jay you're right they should of actively done more to catch the said person

Thing is Lee gates, nothing was done to actually catch the said person and was never tested so it was never proven that he was taking gear. So how can you say he was? Any body can say anyones on gear but until there court theres no evidence. So why talk s**t about some one when theres no proof.

Have i mentioned anyone's name? Didn't think so.

No your right you can't prove some one is using or less they are caught or give a confession but it doesn't mean it's right. I have nothing else to say on the matter as it don't really effect me.

I just hate cheats

Your right, its not right. But is it also right to accuss the so called person of been a cheat when theres no evidence he was. Do we just go on your say so? The federation need to do more to stop cheats i agree. But don't piss on some one when they have never tested positive. Innocent until proven guilty.

The getting caught bit is secondary,it's the taking gear in the tested fed that's the problem.Anyway if the said person is natty which he looks to be then no issue!!!

Could't agree more - there are very few people who disagree with people's personal choice to use PEDs on here.
Taking it and competing in a federation that bans it makes you a dick.
Having met and trained with some people from federations that allow PEDs they universally seem like nice people and the competitions are often well run and competitive.
I can't get my head around using in the GBPF - years ago in the Ed Coan IPF days, there wasn't an alternative and I like to think use was more widespread than it is now - hence the "everyone is doing it" mentality.
I can't see how people can use that excuse now - when there is a viable alternative.
It's akin to entering the over 70's age class when you're 25 - just to get a plastic medal - that, let's be honest, nobody gives a s**t about, in the real world.

I thought this lifting weights thing was about self improvement - maybe not.

I can see your not fed bashing just stating what you seen, and experienced. I agree there are certanly cheats in the GBPF. People whose word and dignity mean less to them than it should.

I still say that you cannot extrapolate a few to the whole fed. If I did the same I would suggest no one cheated.

good post... and the two biggest feds in UK offering untested competition are of a high standard
so it's not like 'but there's no competition in Fed XYZ, that's why I lift (and use) in the IPF innit..."

I'm not to fussed what anyone takes but why not just lift in a non tested fed and leave the tested Feds for those who want to compete 100% drug free .... I really dislike folk claiming drug free because it gets them subscribers and sponsors because they're in a drug free fed when they're fffing not and just try to weasel through the loopholes in the lack of testing rigour and cycling on and off out of competition to specific dates ... The ones that really get my goat are those in a drug free association then get fffing positive tested .. Those Feds should have zero positives but they seem to have between 5-10% of those fffing tested ... The other thing that winds me up currently is some lifters in untested Feds (on the whole American .. Actually all) who are full of sh£t and lack any humility on the effects drug use has in there performance when comparing it to tested Federation records ...

I wonder if these types of things happen often?

It's impossible to get away with, labs follow up on positive test results and WADA contact the ruling bodies to ask what sanctions have taken place. I imagine they were quite surprised in this case!

I am told this is an automatic exercise that happens every 4 years, and there was no chance of getting away with it.

I find it amusing when you get Klockov snatching a world record in the training hall at a World championships !

Winner of the comp = 1000 views on YouTube

Klockov = 1 Million views and a seminar tour equal to the wages of neuro surgeon !!

I'm clean bro ! Just can't be arsed lifting on that side of the curtain !

Is that right dude ? Your so cool !

Creatine has a 3 hour half life, so it depends on the sensitivity of the testing equipment. I think 48 hours should be safe if you have to take a drug test for a job interview.
