Tom is teaching me to squat to the right depth, match all my plates and grow my hair to the correct length. Here's today's efforts. Squat: Bar x many 70 x 3 70 x 1 120 x 1 170 x 1 187.5 x 3 *PR* Knee Wraps on loose: 190 x 3 Squatting just feels rotten right now, sore hips and groin. Box Jumps: Lots till I couldn't do it. I got a PR of 51". Probably gonna add these before squats, as it's more sensible and a decent way of warming up. Straight leg deadlifts: 70 x 3 120 x 2 170 x 1 220 x 1 230 x 1 240 x 1 *PR* 205 x 5 *PR* SLDL feels pretty comfortable atm, other than my grip. Oh and I say PR not PB...Come at me Bro. | ||

Bench: bar x some 60 x 1 80 x 1 100 x 1 120 x 1 127.5 x 0 Lost it forward about half way up. Triple: 115 x 2 I'd flattened out completely. I didn't feel my setup was good enough tonight on my top end stuff and I paid for it. Close Grip: 117.5 x 0 Ugh close grip feels so retarded. I was all over the place. | ||

Bench: bar x few 60 x 1 80 x 1 100 x 1 Triple 115 x 2 2nd rep was terrible and it f**ked it up for me. Double 117.5 x 2 Way better than my triple attempt. 1 board: 120 x 3 127.5 x 0 the 120 triple was very easy. I was done when it came to toe 127.5 single. Hang power cleans: 40 x many 60 x 3 70 x 2 80 x 2 90 x 2 100 x 2 105 x 1 Never done them before, they got better over the reps and weight. SLDL: 70 x 3 120 x 1 170 x 1 220 x 1 232.5 x 1 Went wobbly on the 232.5, I was pretty knackered. 210 x 4 Missed the last rep, my grip started to go and I was just plain tired. Think the PCleans will come under review..or something. | ||

Snatch: 40 x a lot of singles 50 x 1 55 x 1 60 x 1 (+ a lot of misses) 62.5 x 1 (+ a lot of misses) Need to keep my ass down in the 1st pull, but it felt OK for my 2nd time snatching. | ||

Bench: Bar x few 60 x 1 80 x 1 100 x 1 110 x 1 120 x 1 122.5 x 1 126 x 0 Usual failing point with my right shoulder just giving out around my anterior delt. 18" DL: bar x few 70 x few 120 x 1 170 x 1 220 x 1 250 x 1 280 x 0 260 x 1 Weird, and my first time doing these so just testing the waters. I think these will happen more often and I'll get them stronger. SLDL: Bar x few 70 x 1 120 x 1 170 x 1 200 x 1 217.5 x 5 *PR* I felt like poop going into these but I got it done. | ||
