Hey Ned !!
hope the knees are feeling the benefit of the backwards walking !!
overall you must be feeling good with the boxing training !
I had covid the last week , felt a bit s**t but not bad enough to stay off work , so all good ..... thing i have deffo noticed is any sort of lay off and you need to drag yourself back to fitness or it will go forever !!
I have taken a couple of steps back but an taking it as a sign to double down and work even harder or else ......... its the knackers yard for me !!!

to be honest the knees are giving me some problems , ever since the last game of rugby i played they have been much worse but i have a plan and a man with a plan can't be beat.
i totally agree , you just have to keep going , the hardest i find is to make time for stretching as its boring , but probably at our age the most beneficial thing we can do , yes work harder but work smarter and don't give in to the sofa! I deadlifted with a bloke from the boxing gym yesterday as he wants to put on some muscle and i'm sort of coaching him , i had the best session i've had in ages as he's quite competative.
have you got any more crazy endurance events planned ?

I am doing a couple more hyrox events and then 2 marathons next year , My gym membership has run out and I am starting to think my running is suffering so I am joining another (cheaper) gym
driving HGV's is great fun aslong as I am going forwards ...... when its time to reverse ...... the fun stops !!

Fantastic mate , i never want to have to reverse a Lorry !
flexibilty , strength ,cardio vascular fitness and good diet are the 4 keys to fighting off the aging process , i'm doing pretty good training for 2 and 3 but 1 and 4 are irregular at best . Must do better !

Saturday 7.30 m deadlifts with the gigantosaurus , he's my new 6'5" training partner who wants me to coach him , we have a deal which involves me coaching him on squats bench and deadlifts and him beating me up on a wednesday in sparring . He wants to do a powerlifting competition so i might do one myself .
deadlifts 172.5kg 3sets 5 reps , I hate deadlifting in the morning , the gigantosaurus did 5x5 with 100kg and made it look like an empty bar.
1 hours old man boxing training ! quite enjoying the coaching its revitalised my iterest in lifting weights .
