I noticed that this post and your next one are missing full stops. Is this a period drama?

One of the Adders weightlifters who used to come on here got quite annoyed with me because I put a space between the end of the sentence and the question mark.

So rather than "what time is it?" I put "what time is it ?"

It was originally down to personal preference, but once he told me that it was purely to annoy him, now he is no longer on here, it's back to personal preference.

does anyone really doubt that when there are no words the post hasn't ended.

I do. I try to scroll further down before sending Rob a PM to tell him that his website is broke. I may be a period that I'm going through, or at least missing in some cases Happy

I weirdly enjoy posts (and text messages) that don't have a full stop at the end, but I feel I can't make that omission myself. Yes, I'm weird.

Eccentric is the word you are looking for, it's weird but in a good way and the world would be a poorer place without it. Thank you for popping in Wayne, I appreciate eccentricity so you are particularly welcome

As Hannibal Lectar replied to Agent Starling when she stated "that's the type of thing Miggs would say"

"Not any more"

Wednesday, April 4th, start 16:30

Arrived to find a couple of locals and no Turner, so I begin

Bench, very raw
20 x 15
20 x 15
20 x 15
40 x 3
50 x 3
60 x 3
70 x 3
80 x 3
90 x 3
100 x 3
110 x 3
115 x 3
120 x 3
122 x 3
125 x 2
130 x 1
All went very well until the 122 set, the first two were good strong reps but the last was a real grind. Rick and Dave were spotting me and while we were all sure that something had certainly gone amiss none of us were sure what it was. The first of the 125s was a good rep, the second was a grind and the third was never going to make it. However they did spot the problem, I was sliding on the bench, as I pushed with my feet I was sliding an inch or two along the bench and what a difference that makes. I therefore decided to try a 130 single, it was a good lift, it would have passed in a comp but Lord did it take a long time. Without the two grinders that had preceded it, it would have surely gone in a more impressive fashion. Not the outcome I wanted but I have had worse days.

Close grip
60 x 8
70 x 8
80 x 8
90 x 8
100 x 6
I would have loved to do the eight but the tank emptied rather quickly. But the performance with the previous, normal width exercise surely proves that these are worth keeping.

Rick also enquired if I was doing the North West masters in June. I had given no thought to it, indeed I was unaware it was on the horizon, but it really struck me as a good idea. I could do with a run out, I will not attempt to break and pots and a total of around 530 ish would do just fine. The real task is to get all nine lifts in and to enjoy it. The numbers mean little but 180/130/220 would make me happy enough, and even now, several hours later, it still seems like a good idea. So the plan is to do it, unless something happens to prevent it. Confidence is high at the moment and things do seem to be on the up.

NW masters? British powerlifting? August 18/19th isn't it Mr. Fat Pete? I plan on doing that one knee permitting.
There's a push pull in June 3rd though.

Good spot. You are correct, August is even better, two more months to prepare

70 x 10
70 x 10
70 x 10

Pulldown to chest, wide grip
50 x 8
60 x 8
70 x 8
70 x 8
70 x 8
70 x 8
70 x 8

There was about an hour's break between the tbar rows and shrugs while I oversaw the training of my new pupil, it really is too much to try to do both at the same time, so one before he arrived and the other two after he was gone. Turner appeared so I passed on Andy's birthday greeting. He seemed more concerned with how Andy knew it had been his birthday.

Tomorrow I get my eyes tested, I do it every year about this time. I quite enjoy it to be honest.

They say your eyeballs change shape as we age. I had and lost a video that basically consist of following different objects with your eyes which in turn would strengthen your eyes and improve vision. It seemed to work. Exercising eye muscles???

Your post above with regards to the NW Masters made me dance a little jig, figuratively at least.
