tony mate floor presses, speed squats? your a beginner mate build up that base strength before getting technical. squats/assistance, bench/assistance, deads/assistance. for a couple of months keep your reps at nothing below five. you need some muscle mass and if you must bent row do it on dead(back) day. www.jackalsgym.com look at beginner routine on here mate then get stuck inHappy

Well done on the PB but you need to start working on form immediately - I'll be honest; that was a pretty horrible deadlift - keep doing it like that and you will injure yourself very quickly. If you learn to deadlift with better form you will pull a lot more anyway.

There are plenty of videos on the site of people deadlifting with good form, but initial pointers are to have your arms tensed and locked out BEFORE pulling (otherwise you'll tear your biceps eventually), don't shoot your lower back up before starting the pull - you really need to focus on using your legs to do this, you're just using your back at the minute - try keeping your head up and eyes looking forwards, this will help here.

Well done mate. My form isnt great on deadlifts aswell so im spending the next month or so just to work on that. Get your form right and you will pull more with less risk of injury.

You're obviously strong, so sort out your form and the sky's the limit.

Tony lad sorry to go on how you train is your choice...leave the ego at the door drop the weight up the reps build some form and muscle mass. ultimately if you are going to enter a comp you want to have good form and be strong the way you are training is all ego training. save pb's for comp, train in good form now or you will suffer later believe me i used to train like that to.

just seen the vid, and my back is hurting from just watching it, great advice from the boys already, without dwelling on, you need to DROP the weights and keep good form, deadlift maxes is serious business and you won't find even experience lifters tapping into that area too often because it can f**k you up! lifting like that, and your lifting career is not going to be long!
