A quick and very lucky four

Usual opener = YXXXX
Usual second = XXXYX
Usual third when needed and it is today = XXXGG

That changed everything

And that will do it. An interesting conversation about knee sleeves which will result in someone trying some SBDs for the first time. How they have eluded him for this long is something of a mystery but Friday is the day of his initiation. Excitement mounts

3 today, 4 yesterday.

Five today (following a run of mainly fours and the odd three) and it was one of those words for me which was always going to be very tactical after my first two guesses.

A fairly quick three

usual opener = XGXXX
usual second = XYYXY

some scribbling and pondering and bingo
AvatarBigMacca
I got a glorious 3 yesterday. Start to finish in under 20 seconds, which very much annoyed the good lady wife as she had just finished talking me it took her all 6 attempts and the best part of 5 minutes Grin

Another four for me.

Standard opener, a complete gamble on the second and tactical on the third.
Dull but effective.

Dentals today, just a check up, but my old dentist of several years has retired and has been replaced by a younger model. She has a light touch and a kindly manner but has found a few "repairs" that are necessary. Back later in the month when the real fun starts.

On the plus side a man with a very impressive knock has just delivered the CIA factbook. This is the one they get all the questions from for the BBC programme "Pointless". It's a lovely looking thing

Wednesday, 8th March, start 15:30

Cold today, much colder than recent days, car thermometer says just the one degree.

Squat, very raw, sleeves and boots on
20 x 5
20 x 5
20 x 5
20 x 5
20 x 5
20 x 5
60 x 5
70 x 5
80 x 5
90 x 5
100 x 5
110 x 5
110 x 5
110 x 5
110 x 5
110 x 5

Squats have been going well recently and it is no bad thing to slip in a light one from time to time. I hadn't planned to do this but today was not one of my better days and everything seemed a little creaky so I decided that a light one today was very probably a good idea. I have no idea what caused this creakiness, I would like to say the cold weather but that could be nonsense.
