6/6 is the key to it, plus a weeping aussie is always fun, I had my doubts about him when he was wearing long sleeves and a hairband he didn't need. Dodgy

Uncanny, bloody uncanny. I was watching this with my sister in law and I said, verbatim, “He doesn’t need that hairband and it’s dodgy that he’s got long sleeves on.’ They were the exact words.

The compression top was his fathers who died in 2015. I've followed him for a couple of years now on Instagram, he seems like a nice guy but damnnnnn he talks at a million miles per hour.

Thanks for that, appreciate it. The commentators suggested it was brought in for religious reasons (they never said when) in order to make the sport more inclusive, which sounds very much like a reasonable reason. It does however make judging lockouts slightly more difficult so it was suggested that many wore it for that reason alone. As a former referee myself (though not in weightlifting) anything that doesn't have a clear and obvious reason is usually nefarious

6 for me today.

Had the last 4 letters in the correct place in 3 and then managed to pick the wrong option 2 more times!

I’ve mulled this over and given that we have been presented with evidence, I considered a change of opinion. However, that soon passed and I still claim it’s shenanigans 😂

Wednesday, 3rd August, start 15:30

Squat, sleeves and boots on, no belt.

Something different for a change, just a little tinkering

20 x 5
20 x 5
20 x 5
20 x 5
20 x 5
20 x 5
60 x 5
80 x 5
95 x 5
110 x 5
120 x 4
130 x 3
140 x 2
150 x 1
155 x 5
140 x 3

April depth-nazied for me and 1,2 and 4 were fine, 3 was borderline but 5 was the best. similarly with the 140 drop down, the last was the best. I only did three as the 155 took more out of me than I imagined. The fact that the last was best on both sets indicates confidence is lacking rather than strength. It would obviously be better if I were not lacking either but if I have to lack one I prefer it this way round. Very warm tonight and home in time to watch the super-heavies in Birmingham. I have been introduced to two phenomenon this evening - the sumo clean and the power jerk. The former is ridiculous and the user thereof bombed but the latter looker a rather splendid thing, so much so I can't understand why I have not seen it before. I will consult with the weightlifters of Friday and they will doubtless advise me.

I would have expected no less, I too considered the very same thing, I also reached the same conclusion. Dodgy !
