Friday, 30th March, start 15:15
First one down this afternoon, though word on the street was that some had been and gone in the morning, just me at first, the April and Hyden and finally Joe the Terrible. Haydn clean and jerked a 150 pb which was impressive and worth the entry money on its own.
Tbar row
20 x 10
20 x 10
30 x 10
40 x 10
50 x 10
60 x 10
70 x 10
70 x 10
70 x 10
70 x 10
80 x 10
Tried the 80 for the last set on a whim and while appreciably harder than the one before it, not so hard as I imagined
Tbar shrug
60 x 10
70 x 10
80 x 10
80 x 10
80 x 10
Pulldown to chest, wide grip
50 x 10
60 x 10
70 x 10
70 x 10
70 x 10
70 x 10
70 x 10
And that is that, I tesco'd last night so I called by the chippy on the way home, the place was packed as it always is on Good Friday, buttered four rounds on arrival home and then sat and munched my way through the lot. Damned good it was to.

No training today but I will be there tomorrow about half twelve. Can be a bit flexible on time to suit if you need me to be

Seriously don't know this, but is half 12, comma splice 11:30 or 12:30? I like replying to a person that ask me the time in military time. Ex 6pm is 1800

I believe that you Americans have a "quarter of" whatever which to be honest I don't get.
Half twelve is short for half past twelve or half an hour past twelve or 12:30.
We generally work on numbers of thirty or less, so 5, 10, quarter(hour), 20, 25 and then half(hour) past the hour (rarely 30 past)
Then 25, 20, quarter(hour), 10, and 5 to the hour
Then the hour itself and then off we go again
Rick31/03/18 @ 14:22
I'll try to drag myself out for that, Pete.
"Half twelve" in (British) English is short for "Half past twelve", so is 1230.
I find the American "quarter of ten" confusing, personally, whereas "quarter to ten" seems clear.

Glynn and Turner were early as so were just finishing as I arrived, but the good Doctor arrived as promised so I wasn't alone

20 x 15
40 x 5
50 x 5
60 x 5
70 x 5

all paused now

An extra set today for no other reason that I was feeling pretty good. Some splendid conversation with Rick, for which I was grateful. Then away to the Spinners to dine alone. Back tomorrow for squats where we will find the answer to the question - Can I squat wearing the insoles for my rather poor arches ? I do hope so.

Monday, 2nd April, start 15:15
Easter Monday as some call it, bank holidays generally adversely affect my training so I planned to rise earlyish. It didn't work, I awoke at 6 30 and decided that another hour would be just about right, two and a half hours later it was 9 00 and I was on the back foot already.
Squat, sleeves and boots on
20 x 5
20 x 5
20 x 5
20 x 5
20 x 5
20 x 5
belt on
60 x 3
100 x 3
120 x 3
127 x 3
135 x 3
142 x 3
150 x 3
157 x 3
165 x 3
172 x 3
I call it a day there, my sleepy start and general lack of activity hasn't helped, I also managed to squeeze my insoles into my squat boots and my feet as well, the feet were a tight fit but it initially felt better but as it is a new position I decide that 180 will have to wait for next time. The deadlifts were omitted as although the weather is wet it is very mild and despite this the weightlifters still had the heaters on for a couple of hours or so. The result was that I an more grumpy than usual and sweating like a bull. Time to go and watch Emmerdale

No surprise there lol.
If you see Turner tomorrow can you wish him happy birthday for me? He used to call me quite often, but I've not heard from him since I changed my number. I hope he's well.

Well might be a bit strong, he is as he always was, a fixed point in a changing world. I will pass on your message, he usually trains Wednesday

Thank you.
I noticed that this post and your next one are missing full stops. Is this a period drama?

Most of my posts are missing something, sense generally.
You are correct though I do frequently omit the full stop at the end of the post, I guess, and I am guessing, that on some level, I figure that it just isn't necessary. In the post punctuation is essential, but does anyone really doubt that when there are no words the post hasn't ended.
I am far from convinced by that explanation myself, but it's the best I have.
That full stop was deliberate, as is this one.
