Good work mate!

Just read about ibuprofen etc... NSAIDs are awful. In my opinion they are responsible for many health issues strength athletes have. Bolton publically put his kidney issues down to them.

TB500 is promising as an alternative and it has anti inflammatory effect but doesn't go through the stomach.

ill check out TB500 as I need something. its completely changed what i can eat now as well. cant eat tomatoes (acid) but spices are ok, batter (fish and chips, tempura prawns) is out, and flour with semolina in it f**ks me up for days (some subway stuff, macdonalds, KFC and dominos). I can eat meat and stuff I bake myself, rice and other things are fine.

Kidneys are fine and had bloods done recently but I'm struggling with aches now. couldn't sleep at all the other night after training my arms, my right rotator cuff had spasmed and my right forearm was cramping. those are the nights i wish i could take something...

A good physio might be worth a look if its purely training related aches and pains (substantially pricier than ibuprofen sadly).

Your benching is seriously impressive.

Agree on the NSAIDs, they are much more prickly than people give them credit for.

I think I might try to get a weekly rub, maybe a sports massage, even swedish.

lol Im trying to go when its quiet, after 10 or 11pm last night was packed though, full of "Bros". I wouldnt normally deadlift there but Ive been busy and getting to the gym before 8 to get a workout in is holding me back.

Ill build up the weight next week to 300 for 3 then 320 for three the following. I normally deadlift 3 weeks on one week off for CNS/recovery issues.

We should matey. I'm normally in the one at Dalry but times can be sporadic (I benched last week at 3am on a sunday morning). Ill have a proper routine in a week or two as Im up and down to London sorting work out.

best ever? I ruptured my pec in 2009 so nothing has really been anywhere near my best since then (i think at best Ill be at 90% of where I was).

I have done 200kg for 10, 210 for 8, 180 for 14 (thats what Im aiming for this year but I wont go heavier than 200 again in case I rupture the old pecaroo), 140 for 27 (I would have done these after a 180 for 14 set) and 100 for 50ish (again as a set after my heavy stuff).

bodyweight at the time was around 110, I have been as heavy as 135kg but in terms of strength I didnt get that much from it, more "torque" but I think Im strongest at around 103-108kg
