Uk limbo dancing champion Member 2666, 6551 posts SQ 202, BP 170, DL 255627.0 kgs @ 88kgs UnEq | it does vary as some items i only buy every few weeks but average £25 cheap foods i use baked beans, porridge oats, eggs. have eggs in an omlette usually, that covers 3 out of 4 meals so the other is meat n the only expensive meal, pork is £4/kg at asda. peanuts also a cheap food for snacks

In fact, I'd be surprised if you could get that for less than £4.20 out. Cheap foods I use are bread, beans, brie/Camembert (200g costs around £1.50) and oats. I've started trying to budget and just bought 1kg of oats for 68p. I use to work milk. Adding kidney beans/chickpeas is a good, cheap way of adding protein and fibre to your diet, as are mushy peas.

Member 5105, 667 posts SQ 220, BP 165, DL 270655.0 kgs @ 98kgs UnEq | I've just spent 74.95 on meat alone today. Will probably last a couple weeks though. 40 chicken breast, 3 trays of chicken thighs (flavoured) 3 full chickens, 2 fillet steaks, 2 rump steaks, 4 gammon steaks, 8 pork chops and I think that's about it

Dentalplan Member 2078, 74 posts SQ 220, BP 145, DL 285650.0 kgs @ 90kgs UnEq | About 30-40 quid usually. Try to keep it on the lower end. Pretty much what's been said above - oats, eggs, make big pots of chilli with cheap beef and kidney beans/lentils to bulk it out, peanut butter sarnies... Fruit and veg is pretty cheap if you go to a market stall rather than supermarket. Pork belly is a good cheap cut of meat with tonnes of calories in it so i buy that a lot too.

Member 5584, 304 posts SQ 225, BP 157.5, DL 260642.5 kgs @ 103kgs UnEq | I have no idea how people only spend £30 a week on food? What meals do you make? I eat 4 solid meals a day if not eating out and take food to work and it costs me a lot more.
