Cost mainly, slow cookers use very little electricity. Do you really want your oven on for 6- hours at a time ?

Thats what I do every sunday for weeks. Maybe I should invest

Convenience and ease too, I'm happy tonchuck it all in and go to work, but I wouldn't leave an oven on all day while I was out
