Telling the story of a genius weapons maker with the world at his feet... women adore him and he has all the money he could dream of. He nailed 11 out of 12 maxim calendar girls. Action packed, humour, nifty explosions and futuristic gadgets - very entertaining. 4 Powerbellies out of 5  Doomsday This is one of those love it or hate it films. The story goes - killer virus breaks out in Glasgow, so all of Scotland is shut off: Hadrian's wall is rebuilt, battle ships and mines patrol the waters, it's a no fly zone (why did we need to wait for a virus though?). After 27 years, everyone presumes that everyone behind the wall has long since died... but then the virus breaks out in London, and new surveillance indicates there are still people living in Scotland! A crack team led by a fit bird is sent in to find the cure... cue loads of battle scenes, car races, human barbeques and various gory scenes. Personally I loved it. 5 powerbellies out of 5 | ||

The next two were top. Iron Man's a really really good superhero origin movie, maybe the best one I've seen after Batman Begins. The year's first big blockbuster, and a cracker. By the looks of this Marvel are going to do a good job of owning their own movie properties. Neil Marshall's three out of three now. Dog Soldiers was cool as f**k, The Descent was the best, purest and truest horror movie in years, and now Doomsday is pure win. Rhona Mitra is a particularly nifty action heroine - easily up there with Weaver and Jovovich. Short of Summer Glau making a big-budget action movie, this rocks as much as physically possible. Stupid, brilliant, adrenaline-pumping genius. | ||

Mad max introduces a comedy element and has mel gibson in it who is pretty damn good. Doomsday has a crappy main actor, think shes of ali g in the house?, with her crappy eye. I thought the film was amazing, the intro was great, i let the eye thing slide and then when they went in scotland and it turned out everyone were survivors i was like ok abit rubbish but ill go with it, then the whole knights thing and the crappy bentley etc etc. the s**tness just increased  | ||
