Sciatica is feeling ok at the Mo , However still not right ie any walking over any great distance brings on pain and a limp Also still no flexibility in the right hamstring ,

Im Back at work now so will find out the MRI Results and see if I need a Op as you can see in the vids I can barely jog lol

Nice work there Kenny, any word on the MRI?
Avatarroyalmarine29
Cheers Neil !
going easy with the squats as that is what brought on the sciatica..

Didnt get the chance to see Doctor today as he was busy however my Physio read the report and says that there is 1 excessive disc bulge and another small one trapping 2 nerves with wear on the disc.

find out tom when I get a copy of the MRI report tommorow exactly where these are so seeing the military doc then I have to see the Neuro surgeon and he will decide Op or no Op Kinda Not sounding to great,

Inlaws were giving me s**t for doing the strongman training and gym stuff cant win.....

weird thing is its feeling ok when lifting !? Confused

Your in the right hands, not sure if you know Kevin Scolly from Ollaberry? But he had a disk in his lower back trimmed as it was bulging out, and causing severe sciatic pain and he's a good two months post op and he's doing great walking and moving normally, but if he does to much he gets a wee pain but goes away with rest and stretching. So depending what the surgeon says you can recover just don't let it get you down buddy.

Also tell Carol & Tony hello

MRI Report for my sciatica a bit complex but phsio described using spine model

L1/2 Early disc degeneration . no neurological compromise.

L4/5 Degenerate disc. End plate chnges, Annular high intensity zone , Small broad based posterior disc bulge and early facet OA . Although these factorsare not particularly prononced there is a relatively narrw canal diameter at thi level hence there is a mild degree of central stenosis. No significant foraminal stenosis.

L5/S1 Degenerate and significantly narowed disc with broad based posterior disc bulge but with focal right paracentral and lateral recces disc protrusion which is significantly compromising right anterolateral thecal sac and proximal right SI nerve root.

Summary
Two level disc and facet OA . Main findings radiologically are mild degree cetral stenosis L4/5 and a Significant right SI compromise at L5/S1

So next move now is to see the neurol surgeon and he will see if I need surgery which is very common and might be the best thing to sort it out Confused
