Larry Wheels is going to train with Thor

So just watched an interview and he is going to train with him for 2 months(jan and feb). He also said he is bulking up from 275lbs to 300-310lbs whilst over there.

The impressive social media lifts thread will be busy.

That's a bit ambitious...but i do think he will make a great strongman.

Ed said he would win WSM for years and most people said he never would. Same for his 500 dead.

I’ve not really followed Larry much, so only really see what gets posted on here. However, he’s a strong mutant, so he could certainly be very good if he dedicates himself to it and has some good luck.

Yeah that's just his general strongman goal. He seemed to think you need to be 400lb to win worlds so set a podium as the best he could hope to manage.

Well Kielsz came 2nd at 150kg and that is with a bad lift(deadlift).

Larry doesn't have a bad lift. But I don't know how good his grip or farmboy strength will be.

It will also be interesting to see how he does in the medley and truck pulls

Well I would say Kieliszkowski is still a good deadlifter, he's good for 400kg on the right day (pulled 380kg after 4 events at WSM 2017). Larry hasn't pulled more than 410kg from what I know? Not a big difference, it's just that the level is so high that Kielisz looks like a weak deadlifter compared to the likes of Hafthor and Shaw.

The hate larry seems to get on social media is mad.
Just let him do what he is going to and the judge.

I think the next few months will be massive. He said in the same interview he wants his pro bodybuilding card aswell so two very big goals.

Two very contrary goals and that is why people take issue with him.

The suggestion he can get close to a WSM podium whilst dieting and training like a pro BBer is absurd. This makes it look like either he thinks top 3 at worlds is easy, or he thinks a pro bbing card is easy. In either case he is offending a lot of people.

He basically wants to emulate Stan Efferdine ...he had IFBB card and powerlifting record.

But also wants to earn good money, he knows bodybuilders have more followers on social media than strongman. He wants powerlifting followers, strongman followers and bodybuilding followers for maximum money. Once he has IFBB card he will not bother with bodybuilding.

anyone who gets offended by Larry Wheels attempting to make top 3 at wsm whilst pro bodybuilding probably needs to sit back and take stock of what is really important in life.

its funny how things come around. probably 10 years ago people were have the very same arguments about ronnie when this pic got posted on the internets.
