The Giant of the Winter Giants Member 155, 132 posts | Any input would be appreciated. With the popularity of "Winter Giant's", and how quickly it sold out and was supported, I wonder how many tickets we would of sold for a larger venue... So I would like to ask, how much people would pay for a ticket to an indoor venue, what amount of time they would like to spend at the event and, how far would they travel, then of course you could always add who you would pay to see from the international athletes, as we already know youll pay to see the British Boys.... your chance to give some genuine feedback ...

Personally if you turn it into a road trip 2-3 hour drive and 30 quid but I would expect it to be great for that amount. I.e no madrush to get a seat and all that crap

I'd pay whatever the cost to see the top international and also national guys. I'd spend all day at the comp, or if it was on more than one day I'd easily stay and watch for consecutive days. Depending on cash avaliablilty I'd probably travel anywhere. I'm going to Columbus, OH in March to compete, but even if I wasn't competing I'd still pay the cost to go and watch both the am contesnt and the pro contest. I think we need to support the sport and as I said I'd happily pay whatever amount had to be paid to see the top guys.

Member 766, 113 posts | Post Edited: 27.11.2009 @ 03:40 AM by JayMcLaughlin On a slightly different tack,I wonder how much interest there would be in a 'Train with the champ' day. Perhaps a brit. guy and an international guest run a training day followed by a meal out afterwards. Schedule say 4 or 5 events, half train on the 1st event with the brit guy, the other half with the guest. Swap round on event 2. It would be more of a workshop/technique/inspirational session rather than a balls to the wall, so you could have a decent number of attendees. Moneywise, I'd say 120-150 (inc a pub grub meal) per person is reasonable. *** (Just to add it's not something I have planned or am organising, just a suggestion off the back of the OP's post)
