My opinions have run their course Member 694, 3112 posts | Post Edited: 04.08.2010 @ 13:02 PM by Pompy I couldn't give a s**t if the bird gets a runaround once a day, cheap eggs are fine by me, the difference in nutrient value is probably so minor it makes f**k all difference. An eggs an egg. Would be nice to have some chickens in the garden for free fresh eggs but the missus would never go for it.I really am not into this 'local' produce bo***cks I couldn't care less if my steak is flown all the way around the world to get to my plate, or if the cow is killed in an inhumane way or whatever, f**k it steaks steak and eggs are eggs.

But the fact is, animals fed what they evolved to eat, which for cows is grass, make for far healthier meat! Chickens kept in cages that never see the light of day, produce poor quality eggs, and down the other route poor meat. You are what you eat has eaten!

Load of s**te, if you were a 'Free range human' living wild you would almost never eat red meat and your not evolved to eat it properly or things like pasta or, rice your diet would consist of nuts, fruit and fish. You can't pick one aspect of the utopia diet and claim people will see the benefit in 50 years - show me a conclusive study that has proven this beyond doubt?!? Total nanny culture nonsense!

I don't think its outragous to suggest that producing healthy livestock is a good idea? You don't think there would be any health benifits from substituting wild meat, or grass fed beef in to your diet instead of standard stuff?
