It felt like it was overdue but I managed to deadlift 300kg today.

Video moved to the "Official Race To 300kg Deadlift Thread".

Yeah, I reckon they're pretty cool too. I bought them from David Horne quite a while ago.

Have you attempted to walk with them yet?

Thanks, mate. I've not really attempted to walk with them though.

Thanks, Millsy! Despite not posting very often, I've continued to put together a good run of training and it seems to be paying off.

The front pin is loaded to 190kg and the back pin totals 150kg.

243kg

I've not attempted these replicas for quite a while but I was quite pleased with this lift. The front pin is loaded to 190kg and the back pin totals 150kg. I now need a holiday so that I attempt the actual Dinnie Stones.

Also add me to the list of people that would love to see you 240 front squat. At the minute, the only strength I can relate to is your grip which is impressive. However, ive not seen anything else from you to indicate you are any closer to your goal. A 240 front squat is a pretty big deal if you ask me, i think you should just silence all thw doubters.

I know you have a bad foot, but the loads you handle in work dont seem worse, and as much as i want to believe you can do it, i know we will never see it

I think that video evidence of, let's say, a 220 kg front squat (to depth) would silence most of the doubters.

Isn't each day at work, in effect, a full-day of event training? Confused

If Sugden is at 'death's door', this log must be regarded as its life support machine.

Strong pressing Pete, I bet you're well pleased with that? How are the jerks going?

Cheers, as I said, it was a goal for (probably) too long but now that it's ticked off I'm chuffed to bits - I still want to get much stronger though. I've hugely improved my strict pressing too but I've not done much split jerking recently.
