In my defence, Aaron said to me "I never bench" after we did it at Englands. Why else would he be poor at it?

You said he did very little strict pressing, this is incorrect. How can you say this if you have no idea on it?

I'm not slagging him off, I know Aaron and he's a good egg. I'm just surprised he only got 1 rep and wondering why.
Seemingly Paul has touched on why he may have struggled though.
His log press is a thing of beauty.

He may have touched on it but he would be incorrect

» Darryn Wright- 340kg Deadlift at u90kg & Powerlifting Question (Go to post)18-07-2016 @ 10:34

Here's Darryn Wright pulling a lovely 340kg (suited) at u90kg

I was wondering in Powerlifting feds what the u90kg deadlift records (Raw or Suited) off the top of your heads are? I'm thinking Ed Coan, Tom Martin, Jesse Norris are going to be the big hitters?!

Even if tom did no rep my 8th rep right on the buzzer

After the buzzer!
» World Deadlift Championship Predictions (Go to post)27-05-2016 @ 18:29
If Ed can do it, he should get it done and out of his mind, regardless of the extra money for small increments. Then he can concentrate on his continuous improvement towards becoming WSM.

Deadlift takes a lot out of you, and if he can dial back a little on this lift then he'll benefit on his all round game.

plus, don't you live a gazillion miles away Tom ? I can understand you moving your whole gym to Luton , KingJames is worth it !

James travels down once a week. We've not used surgery, just every other tool I have at my disposal

Might be making a comeback soon. He's been back training.

He'll be back, but doubt it'll be in time for the big u90kg comps so we're targeting next year.

He's had some great deadlift and squat sessions recently too:

320/340kg x 2
280kg back squat x 5
