Well lifted yesterday and to use a much over used phrase....fcking smashed my expectations TOTALLY. I knew I was feeling strong...and that to being a complete show off and we have a recipe for comp day success. You just can't replicate adrenalin. I don't train with stims...in fact I rarely compete with them as they make me too nervous so when that adrenalin kicks in it seems I am able to use it to it's full effect.

My lifts were
Squats
130kg/140kg/155kg = 9 whites
Bench
90kg/97.5kg/102.5kg = 9 whites
Deads
170kg/185kg/190kg = 8 whites 1 red
Total
447.5kg 26/27
78.5kg bw & 43yo
This gives me 4 new GPC Raw Records & my first ever Raw total.

My first ever comp was equipped & total was 410kg
My opening & final squat at worlds equipped was 160kg
My final deadlift at worlds was 180kg equipped
My best ever deadlift equipped is 200kg

The above gives me ALOT to learn from. It gives me the belief that I am stronger than I would have myself believe. I presumed I it was the kit....it's not. This opens up a whole new setting of goals....that 500lb deadlift becomes more of a reality. I am still going to compete equipped but I am also going to keep pushing the Raw and only get in the kit when I need to. This has been going on far too soon as I haven't had the confidence or knowledge of my raw capacity. I will lookd back on the vids and see what needs changing but I will say the technically we were probably up at being the best on the day. This is in a big part down to our training partner Rik who is fcking OCD on techi stuff which makes him a great coach. Now some say this doesn't matter, to me it does which is why I place much importance on how may whites I get & why I got them. Yesterday ref was not happy with my lockout on 2nd lift...so on the last I made sure he liked it.

I am exceptionally pleased with the results.

Mr George was a fcking animal. He finished with an almost exact 8xbw Raw total with 255/137.5/260 at 81.5kg with a 7 week run in to comp & only 6 weeks sumo lifitng. What you guys have to remember is this man is 51 years old, please think of this when you are in your 50's. He is just fcking incredible & never fails to inspire me...and more impotantly support me & kick my ass.

I thouroughly enjoyed training & lifting Raw & will certainly be doing it again.

Me & Mr G train together the majority of the time & it works well. We have another lad that trains with us which took a while to find because no one wanted to train with us....chicken s**ts. Other chap was needed because Mr G, though highly self motivated, also needed someone to butt heads with comptetively on the poundage. It was great for me because I was always upping my game & my concept of strong has always been based on male strength...if they can do it then i am fcking going to have a go lol...maybe slightly less. If I didn't train with men then I don't think I would be as strong as I am because I would have had different comparisons.
I have a group of women who train together and there just isn't enough aggression....moving big weights isn't baking fcking cupcakes & that aggression has to be brought to the floor. I personally could not lift with a bunch of women in general.

Woke up in the middle of the night with the certain signs of something head coldy starting. Mr G is really bad & he doesn't get manflu so if he tells me he feels a bit off then I know he is actually feeling like s**t he opted out of training today so it was just me a Rik and because I felt not top dollar I didn't have high hopes for the session though far from being ill to call it off.
Funny how good training buddies/coach can turn it all around.

Videoed all lifts bar the last fcking one....camera died (yes I know not so easy to believe on t'interweb but it really did so gutted). They all felt easy but on reviewing the footage my ass comes literally a couple of mm of the bench on the negative. Two weeks out this is easy to fix and I will make sure that now I know I can handle the weight that I really focus on my arse (ooerr Missus). There is reason for it to come up as it isn't even a struggle, just the payoff for the stability of having my feet flat.
