week 6
Olly Jackson Deadlift routine
A) 180kx1x4
B) Pulls of a 4" block
180kx1
190kx1
200kx1 PR!!
Chuffed to f**k with this. A grinder at lockout but I got it.
I brought my digi camera and got the vid. Now if only I could find my USB cable I could upload the damn thing!
B) Pull-throughs 3x12
C) Seated DB powercleans 5x10 @15kDB's

you ean you were standing on a block for that pull? hey equalling your deadlift PB from a block is an exellent feat!

Yeah it's weird, I find with platform pulls I can get into quite a good starting position and use more leg drive.
Reckon I'm good for 210k now.
Will do 200k for 2x2 next week. Then attempt 210k the week after

hmmm... maybe you need to examine your starting position on normal deadlifts to get that power recruited there as well?

Week 7 OJ deadlift routine (2nd cycle)
A)Deadlifts
200kx2x2
First set was hard. Second set was VERY hard.
B)Pull-ups 3x6 @BW + 10k
End.
Joni: I suspect I do have a set-up issue. I have a video of my first 200k set (albeit my camera skills leave something to be desired). If I get time I'll upload it tomorrow. I would appreciate any feedback.
All being said I reckon I'm good for 210k, which I will attempt either next week or in a fortnight.

Two doubles with your deadlift PB should be hard mate !!! Nice work, probably a tad more than 210 there but defo go for that first and nail it!
