2 'OPEN' ATHLETES REQUIRED for BOLTONS STRONGEST MAN '12...

Taking place on sat 28th July in Bolton town centre, on the opening day of the Olympics, we expect upto 3000 visitors throughout the day in this free community event.

5 athletes from our hometown ( competing for the Boltons strongest man title.)

2 more needed to compete for the 'rest of the UK' title.

EVENTS,...

Giant railway sleeper farmers - 140kg each hand, 40mtrs, drop and turn @ 20 mtrs.

Hand over hand - vehicle over 15 mtrs, quickest time (approx 4 tonnes..)

Axle C&P - 130kg, max reps, 90 secs.

Carry & Load - 110, 120, 130 sandbags, 10 metre 'carry' onto 5ft loading platform.


This is an amazing day, heavily promoted and lots of local media interest.
