72.5 kg is my jerk PB haha
This is only my 2nd or 3rd session learning the split jerk though. I tried power jerk for a few sessions but it was more of a push press.
I think if I practise once a week then my split jerk will overtake my strict press soon enough, and eventually my push press

Same instructor that b**ches about me deadlifting too loudly, I'd love to drop my next deadlift PB on his foot

Could have probably ground out a 4th rep on 172.5 but not a 5th. I want to save my lower back for deadlifts tomorrow, and I'm planning on maxing the squat on Sunday.
Power Clean (using the thicker bar):
50 kg x 3

18" deadlift:
70 kg x 5
120 kg x 5
160 kg x 5
200 kg x 2 (mixed grip, belt)
230 kg x 5 (straps)
A little difficult to get it moving off the pins but then easy enough, probably could have done 8
260 kg x 1
Speed off the pins was next to zero, I expected this to be much easier. Gave it a little hitch too. 18" is clearly a weakness for me, working on this should bring up my regular deadlift

Lol yeah, I'm a bit disappointed by my 18" numbers to be honest but I think they will pick up in time.
Additional training:
50 pull ups on the rain shelter whilst waiting for a train

18" deadlift numbers depend on ur pulling style, positioning and arm length, don't pay too much attention to it.
Ps- the comp may be 18" height, but its a car deadlift anyway so wont feel ANYTHING like an 18" rack pull

Pulling from 15" certainly helped my regular DL increase, so I'm hoping for similar from 18's.
Yeah thats true, don't really have the facilities to train car deadlift though.
I guess the weight will feel lighter the higher up you pull it? (not sure if my physics is right on that one) And you will have to lean back a little more on car DL too I daresay.

Trained at Physical Culture London with a few friends todayStrict Press:
40 kg x 5
52.5 kg x 5
65 kg x 5
82.5 kg x 4 PB
I normally make a conscious effort to pause every rep on the shoulders, to avoid using momentum. My pauses today were questionable. Also looking back at it I should have attempted a 5 th rep.
Axle Clean and Press:
81.6 kg x power clean, 2 press (Axle Power Clean PB)
91.6 kg x 1c1p
101.6 kg x 1c2p PB
106.6 kg x fail clean
106.6 kg x fail clean
Got it onto the belt, but couldn't quite catch it at the shoulders
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oshT3cB9cGc&feature=channel...
Max Squat:
60 kg x 5
100 kg x 5
130 kg x 3
150 kg x 1
These all felt heavier than they should have.
170 kg x 1
180 kg x fail
I really shouldn't be failing this weight. Did 180 very easily last week. I blame it partly on the squat rack and the bar. The rack was about 6 inches from the mirror, and I was having difficulty getting a good low bar position from it. The bar was thin and sharply knurled, which put me out of my groove a little too. Jason and Usama all lifted well below their numbers also.
Log Press:
60 kg x 1c 2 strict
80 kg x 1c 1 strict
90 kg x 1c, 1p
Just messing about really.
Farmers hold:
Up to 115 kg for 25 seconds
Max (strict) Curl:
(Using an oly bar)
30 kg GOOD LIFT
40 kg GOOD LIFT
45 kg GOOD LIFT
50 kg GOOD LIFT but on the limit!
55 kg NO LIFT
Me and Rino failed 55 kg, Usama was repping 60 strict at 80 bw after lol.
Pull up:
BW x 10
Captains of crush:
No 4 - Moved it a millimetre or two
No 1 - Easy close!
Various light cleans, and light bench with chains
4 hours
