He was at the southern qualifier this weekend. Moves some serious weight for such a small man.

Ah i didnt realise the first video was 60 seconds! Nothing wrong with sumo!
60 seconds or 90, the number of reps would be the same for me. ONE lol

Sumo is s**t!
I didn't mind it so much, but I am definitely on the conventional band wagon.

I really dont inderstand why every one hates it so much? Surely an arch on bench is s**t too?
I can pull equal sumo and conventional. But then again my sumo stance isnt muxh widee then shoulder width cus of my gangley legs

I agree.
TBH, Im worried for him post-event. I would expect some awful cramps in the legs, back, and hips. Maybe some damage???

I remember seeing dave squat at my first powerlifting comp in 2006 .....he did a sumo squat also ! as a newbie, such a mega wide squat was difficult to understand.
I felt great ...won £100 and a nice 24kg kettlebell !! that comp had a 2000m row in it too !!

When he realises how long it takes to rack/rerack bench and squats it will soon turn to just deadlifts. Thinking about it some more I realise how ridiculous it actually is, poor bloke wont be able use the toilet, he'll have to stand up for pretty much 24 hours straight, it aint gonna happen

Dave was the ref at my first powerlifting comp. (I won competition must have been poor... got about 500 pound in supplements and felt like a thief)
He did a sumo deadlift for a picture with the mayor ...good lord he was only 5 foot tall but his almost did the splits! moved the bar about 6 inches.

He didn't do it, one on of the vids he did 5 reps in a row to take 5 minutes off to have a wash. I feel like that defeats the object of the challenge
