Personally, I thought the safety measures were much improved this year e.g. buffers on the squat.

However, why oh why keep doing it in a hot country ffs Britain would be the ideal place.

As always totally depends on the events.

Agreed. Thors squat has gone through the roof lately. It would be very close with the exact same events though.

I wouldn't discount Shaw if the same events were run again. He finished 3 points off Ed and finished 5th on the truck pull when you would usually expect him to finish 1st or 2nd.

It shows how good Shaw is when he's not at his best and still only finishes 3 points off winning.

Same events and IMO shaw wins even if his hamstring goes again. Nobody has said much about it but for a guy who is supposed to be a bad squatter he did 13 easy pause squats at 320kg - pretty f**king awesome.

Truth. I would pretty much always pick Shaw to win any comp if he is fit to be honest.

If Shaw was fully fit, he would of possibly won this year! He was definitely struggling during the final on the second day!

He is already the GOAT in my opinion.

I think he is the best, but Z is the greatest.

What I mean is, I think Shaw at the height of his powers, is better than Zydrunas. If they battled it out over every event, over a period of time? Then Shaw for me wins, hands down!

However Big Z has won more titles and held more records than any athlete. His early dominance at Arnold's is something else!

Yup that is why I said future goat. By the time he has retired he will have added enough WSM and Arnold titles to be the goat.
