I had a look at the addies, they seem pretty solid and my brother has a pair which he's happy with. Is it a case of get what you pay for? The addies thats ive seen are getting on for £100.

Previously I have used:

Pullum's Polish shoe... brilliant shoe but you can't get them anymore... wore them down on the heel eventually.

Strengthshop Lions... never liked the feel of them and sole kept coming off at the front, gave them away.

Do-Win... decent but sole kept coming off at the front, have kept them for stones and anything messy.

Reebok Lifter 2... not had them long but happy so far... specifically went for these as it looks like the sole will not come of at the front as they have a bumper .

Also, have tried on Adidas but they are too narrow for me... but I am told the Powerlift shoe is a wider fit.

The addidas are good but i found that they were a bit to narrow for my feet im a 12 and bought a 12.5 and they were still tight. If i had the money id also consider romelos

Any thoughts on the Do-Wins here? They seem cheap in comparison to the addies

I use the gong lu IIs and really like them, a good bit better than strengthshop lions. I have had a shot of a pair of nike romaleo 2s and they are certainly better than the do wins but definitely not £100 better. The do wins are very wide though so probably best avoided if you have very narrow feet.

Do you have to compensate for sizes at all? For instance my rugby boots are more often then not a size up from my everyday trainers

Id say with the Adidas you might depending on how wide your feet are like mentioned above i went up to a 12.5 and they were still tight

I've got a fair bit of foot girth so that shouldn't be an issue

The do wins are sounding like a promising investment. Thanks for all the advice guys
